Thanks for the replies guys. I have a line on clippers I might be able to borrow. The issue is getting them and then giving them back. If I can’t work that out Atlanta Barber Supply looks like they have a bunch of stuff in stock and claim to ship pretty quickly.
I have a more complicated hairstyle than your standard buzz/fade so I’m just going to let it grow until the lady who does it is open. I’ve got semi long hair so the extra length won’t really matter. My biggest problem is my hair is very thick and i have it thinned out a bit every cut so if this goes on for months I’ll have a damn mop on my head

It’s funny, I hadn’t been in the office since early March, but went in for a day earlier this week. I was the only one there, so it was kind of strange, but at the same time I noticed it was oddly soothing being there.
It is funny. I haven’t worked in an office for…almost a decade? Those sounds were oddly soothing, though. I suppose for the same reason I sometimes find it easier to work at a cafe than at home.
Hopefully no one sneezed moments before you were the only there!
They ship quickly and have good prices and selection ime. I ordered a T-Outliner Blackout from them not too long ago. Was reading the reviews for some of this stuff on Scamazon and a common complaint is people receiving “new” clippers with tons of hair in the motor compartment. No thx.
I am currently on the osprey nest in Maryland. This is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen. Different cams for different animals. Perfect for your kids. And me.

I have a tree right outside my kitchen. For the past week or so we’ve been getting beautiful bright blue jays in the morning. They’re spectacular.

I am having the opposite experience with birds. Its officially spring now so we have some annoying fuck nesting in the trees right outside our house that has to do a super repetitive call approximately 8463846493 times each morning starting at 4:30.
Wasnt the worst thing in the world when I was waking up at 5, but now when I go to bed at 2, it’s like ear meeting cheese grater

We have so many animals here I just sleep with war plugs now.
Things to do: not play PC games. The laptop that I bought sat unopened for three weeks until I returned it just now.

Adventures in home haircuts, part 1.
My clippers came today.
Grabbed a beer for a little of the old fuck it attitude.
What could go wrong?
Before. This is about five and a half weeks after a fairly close fade.
Spent like 45 minutes carefully nibbling away, made a huge mess in my bathroom.
After.
That’s definitely the better side. It has some unevenness and it’s not anywhere near pro quality but good enough for working at home.

Good trip report. Def thought the before picture was the after picture lol. I’m seeing some wild beards and heads of hair on Zoom.
Thanks! Yeah, the hair was pretty short already, but one drawback of a really tight fade is that it looks comparatively fuzzy and untidy as it grows out. It’s hard to see in my crappy selfies but it was bothering me.
The girlfriend suggested I should shave in a mohawk. I like the idea but am a little inhibited by the fact that I still have to appear on camera for Zoom/Teams meetings. It’s always there as a fallback in case of really catastrophic haircut fuckups though.
