It’s really not worth doing a big back and forth on this but Pluribus is not a good show and barring some dynamic change it has little chance to ever reach the heights of something like BCS. I’m a huge Gilligan fanboi and BCS and BB are in my top 8 or so all time tv shows so I’m more disappointed than hating on the show. Maybe this already happened in the 2nd half of episode 7 but the next step will be a half episode or more bit about the language barrier that will be enormously tedious for no reason.
Looking through the BCS episode synopsises to make sure I wasnt misremembering I completely disagree it was paced similarly. BCS was slow paced but this is an entirely different level.

I wasn’t a hyooge BCS fangirl until around season three. Season one especially did not work for me with the case/scam of the week format. But then they brought in Gus and Lalo and hoo boy did they stick the landing in the series finale. I retroactively ascribe it GOAT status, but I’d still skip season one and maybe season two on a rewatch.
You are falling for the false dichotomy. It doesn’t have to the the best show ever made or the worst.
It’s clearly no BCS so far but calling it bad is kind of nuts.

I watched the first episode last night and, based on that, plan on watching the rest this weekend. I’ve heard that ep 2 has a lot of Pac/Biggie stuff, and I’m a huge Pac fan, so I’m sure it will be interesting, but also a bit emotionally difficult to watch…
