Recently rewatched S2 of The Wire and IMO it’s a far better season of TV than people give it credit for being.

S2 is my favorite season. Although 1, 3 and 4 are extremely close.

Crazy talk. I’ll concede maybe it’s not as bad as I think, but your favorite season?? We are worlds apart on that one lol.

Sully episode of The Rehearsal should be top 5

S1-4 of The Wire are all mega elite and I can never really put them in any consistent order.

I can. 3-1-4-2.

Mine as well! :)

Is 3 Hamsterdam?

Yeah

Lists like this are often dumb because they limit it to one episode in a series.

Imagine a best movies of all time list that didn’t have Godfather Part 2 because the original was already included.

That’s mine too. I’m probably one of the only ones who really liked the much maligned newspaper season.

This is a good point, BCS should have 3 in the top 20

Last Samurai Standing is everything you didn’t know you wanted. Holy shit. This premise is just dripping with cool.

During the Meiji era (late 19th century), 292 fighters come together at TenryĆ«-ji Temple in Kyoto, drawn by the chance to win a grand prize of „100,000. The challenge is clear: take each other’s wooden tags and make it all the way to Tokyo. The winner takes the prize. One of the warriors, Shujiro Saga, joins the dangerous contest with a personal mission: to help his sick wife and child.

It’s like The Hunger Games, except everyone fighting is a SAMURAI. The opening scene alone is worth watching right now.

You absolutely can watch this while you play with your phone and just look up when you hear people screaming and go fuck yeah this is cool!

But you’d really be missing out, because the writing is excellent, and the cinematography will often take your breath away. Think of Shogun.

Oh and the sword fights? Amazing. Some really cool diversity in weapons and fighting styles. Great choreography.

Six 1 hour episodes. The season finale is called “Mortal Combat” lol

LSS is great! Recently watched the whole thing.
Some sweet choreography and I like the way they move the camera around in some action scenes.
Tres cool.

Opposite: I wasn’t big on that initial premise - too obv. But the rest is great!
