This is a telecine error because they clearly went to the original film to make the 4K transfers that were originally created for 1080 TV. They use a matte box on set to create the ‘crop’ while still taking the full frame with stuff like booms in them. I think, usually, they crop it in telecine, but this was probably requested to be done in editing. A lot of eyes should have seen this so it’s unbelievable something like that got released. It looks like the show was going to have a problem being in 4K based on not thinking forward.

I would rank Half Measures above Ozymandias, realizing this is heresy.
Right there with The We We Are in terms of best final scene.
It is very hard to remember singular episodes of great TV shows so this thing is usually really hard to pick.
Periodic reminder that Connor’s Wedding was a good episode of TV cosplaying as an all-time episode of TV and probably wasn’t in the top three Succession episodes just that season.
