Not sure if that is played for laughs or not, but Ben Folds is a shockingly competent comedic actor.
Check out his episodes on You’re the Worst. Absolutely hilarious.

I am likely to have one or two euro trips later this summer. I think Wilds S2 is going on that download list.
I haven’t had a chance to watch the Boys yet.

A prequel that shows how the cop’s brother became the head operations/security guy might be interesting, but it doesn’t sound like what this is.
I’d be fine if they just did a whole new group of people and didn’t really continue the story from the previous season.
I think it will probably be a lot like 3% where the first season was great, 2nd season average, and 3rd season sucked.
I randomly ended up watching his episodes on Community and Drunk History within like a week of YTW. I was like how did I never realize he’s doing amazing comedic acting everywhere? Turns out that’s like his entire body of work but still, A+ for quality over quantity.

Final season of Barry was uneven but still some good stuff. Takes a while to get going but goes pretty bonkers for the last 3 episodes. Excited to see what Bill Hader does next.
And on the Ben Folds tangent: I met his ex-wife Kate years ago when she was an actress and she was totally the kind of woman somebody would write a song about. I was smitten.

I thought the same thing, even though in the back of my mind I think I had read it was renewed for another season. Your post prompted me to google it. Certainly would have made for a reasonable end to all the storylines.

I think she was #2? The song “Kate” is about her. They were married for a pretty short time IIRC. She gave me a bootleg with a version of “Song for the Dumped” in Japanese on it, which I believe was subsequently released.
