Thoughts on your spoilered parts –
I was thinking the opposite of you in fact, that it’s more likely that Helena keeps going to the severed floor as a way to punish her innie for her actions. It’s possible they have other psychological torture methods to really mess with the innies in ways that their outies won’t be harmed in the process. I think being ‘reset’ is also something that’s a real possibility that seems to have happened to Irv before at least once, possibly in the military?.
The whole dynamics of this are really gonna get crazy in the sense that the only way for the Outies to protect their Innies at this point is to stop going down to the severed floor, but in doing so they also are effectively killing their innie. But also Mark S can’t go down to find his wife without letting his innie take over. Maybe the best option for him is the de-severed method that Petey took which seems to combine their consciousnesses though it seems there’s some big risks there too.
Looked at Severance and say it had Dichen Lachman who I crush on, so now I might have to get Apple TV.
His friends are actually the weirdest characters on the show which is saying a lot.
Finished Our Flag Means Death today. Pretty fun.
