The Television Streaming Thread: Part II - Hot Takes, Jags Fans, and Bert

Tbs used to run a couple episodes a day (maybe it was tnt) and I watched the whole series more than once like that. I could definitely speed binge that.

Thatā€™s my leader for #3. Still have BB and Wire comfortably ahead.

Mad Men was very good, but I definitely didnā€™t like it as much as most people did.

Did you also watch Tilt? It was made by the guys who did Rounders, but I remember it being significantly less good than Rounders or Las Vegas.

Those were the days. Thatā€™s back when a station was also running Buffy reruns. Iā€™d have just enough time to catch the last half of one and the first half of another before heading to work.

Own the DVDs. Love it. I think Iā€™m just weak for anything that has good looking people in a casino/gambling setting.

Hot take incoming.

Breaking bad not that good.

Doesnā€™t really say anything. Hasnā€™t got any great observations on the human condition. Itā€™s not gonna age well and no oneā€™s gonna be talking about it in 20 years.

There are times in this life that ā€œhot takeā€ just doesnā€™t feel like a strong enough description.

I tell ya whatā€¦ i loved bb when it was out and bought the dvds, but the tv that has come out since then has been so good (bb definitely raised the bar for everything that came after) that i never rewatched it and i have no interest in rewatching it. There are dozens of tv shows that are better.

Succession was entertaining, but I doubt anyone seriously has it as #3 all time.

Mad Men easily makes my top 3.
