Jennifer Lawrence
Julliane Moore
Kate Winslet
Florence Pugh
Tom Hiddleston
Benedict Cumberbatch
James McAvoy
On the older side so might be disqualified for not working anymore in 40 years:
Leonardo DiCaprio
Christian Bale
Brad Pitt (not the greatest actor but he or his agent know how to pick movies)
I would be very not-surprised to find Elle Fanning working well and consistently as long as she wants. I would also say Emma Stone, who has shown herself to be an absolute pro, but sheās 33, I think to fit your criteria somebody should still be in their 20s.
On the Zendaya subject, if anyone hasnāt seen her in anything, watch the first 15 minutes or so of the fifth episode of the second season of Euphoria, even if you have no interest in ever watching the show itself (but donāt watch it if you think you want to watch the show at some point, obviously).
Agree with all the actors/actresses named except Florence Pugh because I had to look her up and still donāt know who she is. Gotta take Bigoldnitās word for it.
Well 40 years after they kinda hit their peak, so Mcavoy could count if hes still working into his 60s/70s/80s
Btw these are all good. Ill have to add a few of their movies to my watchlist.
I think Streep is so interesting because as I watch her, there is a constant dialogue going on in my head that goes like āHoly shit, she is really really fucking goodā almost to the point that marveling at her skill can nearly take me out of a movie.
Edward Norton has turned in some performances that make me feel that way. Unfortunately he hasnāt always made great choices in what projects to take, and has a reputation as being extraordinarily difficult to work with, which has probably also impacted the stuff he gets to be in.
How could I forget Amy Adams?
Streep was in the River Wild which while fun had one of the biggest plot holes ever.
Her husband gets apparently shot.
After that Streep and the Bacon gang go down river through all kinds of dangerous waters.
Who beats them down river to save the day? Her husband. On foot. Canāt remember if he had a bullet sound as well.
So why would the Bacon gang risk their lives when it is just as fast and much safer to just WALK?
Ill watch it again (And I remember LOVING this movie the two times Iāve seen it.)
I am pretty sure there is an explanation of how the husband gets there with them.
I can see Adam Driver being in the conversation.
You have only named one person under 40. The rest will likely be dead in 40-50 years. Julianne Moore is 61.
Oh! I thought of two Streep movies I dont like (though it isnt her fault.) Man, I do not like the Mama Mia movies.
Others make the same point
tonight is the finale of Book of Boba Fett.
My prediction: Boba Fett is going to die Just putting it out there somewhere in case Iām right
I had a passing thought of that.
Would be funny in a built up from nothing for 30 years, then killed in 5 episodes way. Suck it nerds.
BoBF S1 has been half background for upcoming shows (Ahsoka) or between seasons of existing show. (Mando)
ah well, i was wrong.
Pure fan service. But glorious fan service. Highly entertained, donāt really care how it fits with everything else.
