What did you think of the BB movie?
Did anyone check out the Spanish remake?

Was um a little surprising to see Plemens gain 50 lbs but it was⌠fine?
Personally I think the Gilligan formula is wearing a bit thin. Specifically the zero stakes stuff, like why even bother? I started fast forwarding them and donât regret it. Like âis this where Saul gets caught stealing from his mall? is this where Saul gets caught stealing from the house by the guy he drugged who now woke up?â I mean cmon.
Not to say I wonât be the first to see whatever he does next with Seehorn obviously.
Yeah. Also the scene with the RV and Walter in his undies in the first episodeâŚcome on, how can you not love that?
Generally think that BB is not nearly as good as people make it out to be, but this scene from the pilot always stuck out to me and is pretty great esp considering the characterâs arc.
Alice in Borderland season 2
more of that good shit. horrifying sci fi ordeals. ultraviolence. twists. every episode gets at least one twist! itâs like brian depalma directing episodes of house md. if season 1 intrigued you at all, season 2 overdelivers. top quality and they nail the series finale.
5 bags!
Fleischman wtf is going on
Took me until now to realize the title might not be referring to Toby.
Danes can act.
BB also really (maybe accidentally) touches on the whole white guys can do things you cannot do if you are a POC reality. Black Breaking Bad would have ended on episode 4 with life without parole.
I was listening to the Dave Chang Show podcast and he said that white people love White Lotus more than anyone else. Agree or disagree?
One alternate interpretation that occurred to me is that, even in the showâs imagining of Albuquerque, Walt and Jesse are so careless and incompetent that theyâd get caught and be arrested after the first two murders, and the entire rest of the show is just Waltâs power fantasy, a yarn he spins while in prison.
this seems very believable even if thereâs no data. feels right.
The show is ultimately a send up of the sheltered lives of the priviliged. LOOKIT THESE DYSFUNCTIONAL RICH FOLKS! Us white folks can watch that with a self deprecating chuckle to some extent, and a thoughtful nod about how we certainly agree that rich white people are Problematic. For viewers that are actually oppressed by the system that elevates these rich imbeciles, it is probably more rage inducing.
right, itâs only really interesting to people one or two rungs below them on the ladder
succession is probably the same way
Iâm surprised at the number of people who tap out after S1. I kind of get it. I wasnât actually blown away either. However, one of my flaws is that I will nearly always see a series out to itâs bitter end. Itâs mostly a curse, but in cases like BB it prevents a catastrophic error.
I tapped out after 4 or 5 episodes of Breaking Bad initially when I first tried to watch it. There were only a couple of seasons at the time and the show wasnât GOATâd yet. I went back and watched it when everyone was raving about it when it was in its 4th season. It trully is one of the rare shows that gets better as it goes.
Thereâs a tonal shift in the show and it becomes less of a dark comedy then it starts out as and the show starts to take its absurd premise more seriously. I think the writers actually stumble into something really compelling and to their credit knew what to do with it.
Working my way through it, S3 is very good but still lags in spots. Seasons 4 and 5 are some of the best television ever made.
Itâs mostly a curse
Top Five worst shows you didnât stop watching?
Iâm pretty good at tapping out once a show gets bad, but I stuck with Shameless all the way to itâs shadow-of-its-former-self conclusion.
