It’s the music
Well according to imdb the first episode was released yesterday.
That’d be this guy. I’ve been a huge fan since Utopia, where his score was the second best thing about the show (first was cinematography, third was Arby, actual plot maybe a distant fourth).
Best known for Utopia? Not anymore.
Slow horses season 2 is pretty good
Rewatching Breaking Bad.
S1 meh
S2 good
S3+ OMG GOAT
Are you following it with a BCS rewatch?
Full measures is the best until ozymandias
Good to hear b/c I had never seen it before and watched S1 and was wondering what the hype was about and haven’t been able to get to S2 yet.
Breaking Bad is the only show I watched where each season was better than the one before it
So yeah, my first watch of breaking bad I quit shortly through S1. After everyone telling me it is must watch…I am in the camp it is all about S3+. Whenever I start a rewatch it begins with S3
I quit in S2 the first time, I think it’s worse than S1. S3 onwards are GOAT. The show really hits its straps after Skyler finds out, the sneaking around plots before that are slowing the show down.
Same, I didn’t make it past the first few episodes
Once Gus and Mike hit the scene things improve dramatically.
The early seasons are kind of a mix of “fish out of water” comedy and getting the audience to root for Walt the underdog. The show is much richer as Walt becomes more complex and less sympathetic.
That’s interesting. I remembered the series becoming available on Netflix from S3 onward being the thing that made the show turn into a massive success, but you may be on to something. Maybe the most important thing was that it became a better show.
Agree about Gus. Can’t think of a show that wasn’t 100% better the moment they added Giancarlo Esposito.
Hard to believe how far he’s come.
I don’t remember having any issues with the early seasons but that was 15 years ago and I was a college kid.
BB watching should always start with “heisenburg”.
This.
From Hank’s emasculation of Walt at the dinner party to Walt crossing douche bro’s wires at the service station I was instantly hooked.
