The Television Streaming Thread: Part II - Hot Takes, Jags Fans, and Bert

Paramount+ has gradually been adding better original programming and filling out its movie library. I mean, it has the new Beavis & Butthead episodes, so that’s a winner right there. Showed the kids Planes, Trains, and Automobiles on the service the other night. It was on AMC, but this way it was uncensored and commercial free.

There are a few good things on Peacock, but probably not worth paying for past a promo deal (I have Xfinity, so it’s included in my package).

5 eps into 1899 and nothing explained at all

Disagree I’m enjoying it.

World Cup in Spanish and Premier League Games. Black Phone. Better Watch Out.

I’ve watched a ton of movies on P+. Even with the cheapest plan, I only get ads at the beginning of movies, no interruptions which is better than Hulu.

I would assume that at least all of the movies Paramount studios has done are on there no?

Fuck it man, I don’t care if this is a cynical nostalgia cash grab I am hyped as shit for the Willow show. Haven’t seen the movie once in over thirty years, still remember an astonishing number of little details from it. Still irritated by the brownies. Warwick Davis is a national treasure by all accounts. Let’s gooooooooooooooo

Jumping on the Peacock sucks bandwagon. It’s free with my internet. Would never pay for it. Think I only use it for random EPL games.

Yea with the office and Parks and rec its worth the back Friday rate to go back and watch them but that’s it.

Wednesday is still an outcast among outcasts. The show is much more than just that premise, there’s a lot going and it seems pretty well written. I suspect most people who enjoyed the 90s Addams family movie would find this show worth watching.

Ill check it out then

Should mention that if you sign up for Hulu for 1.99 you can get the Disney plus add on for 2.99. Overall comes out to about 5 dollars a month for both.

I watched one of those episode recap things for the White Lotus and it’s been bothering me that I couldn’t place the director/writer/producer/every credit Mike White, usually my internal imdb is on point. I finally caved and looked up where I knew him from. I probably should have remembered this but it’s understandable I was on the wrong track.

Fleishman Is in Trouble Episode 3

Still so good. Every one acts really well in this.

The vulture reviews of the episodes do what good reviews do and had more context to the episodes

White Lotus is continuing to deliver. Can’t believe people were hating on Jennifer Coolidge earlier in the thread. She is amazing.

When theyre speaking Italian and someone responds with ‘No’ the closed caption say ‘No (in English)’ and the next sentence (In Italian). Lol

Also I never knew anyone named Portia so I never knew it was pronounced like that.

Everyone in this is great at embodying who they are. Show is still delivering

Yah, I’ve liked her these last 2 episodes, just think the character was over the top and annoying before. Once her husband left, she’s been far better.

Agree that was another elite White Lotus, I’m sad we only get 2 more episodes.

Predictions for who dies? For some reason my hunch is Ethan (Aubrey Plaza’s husband). But there are a ton of possibilities.
