Agree. It certainly wasn’t great but it wasn’t terrible.
Enjoying. Not as much fun with the couple banter vs the Al and Sam banter. Doing the actual leaps very well I think. Def more at stake back at the QL project.
One negative I’ve noticed is that the parallel story line reduces the time they have for the leap problem solving, so it feels like it gets wrapped up quickly. I’ve still enjoyed it, though. Easy watch and I look forward to seeing where it’s going.
I concur. I’d rather have every few episodes focus on the “mysterY” while most focus on the leaps.
No great surprise that it hasn’t been brought up in here because its an AMC + exclusive, but Pantheon has an incredible pilot.
Adult animation that focuses on themes of life, loss, death, what it means to be human, what it means to be alive, and what grief can do to us. The animation is beautiful in its simplicity, and the voice cast is great. Its also been renewed for a second season even though the first only started a few months ago. Go check it out.
I have never hated a character more than I hate Tanya on White Lotus.
I wish I could binge White Lotus. I’m loving this season and really intrigued where they go. They do an insanely good job of portraying dialogue like normal conversations and not scripted lines.
It’s maddening, a fantastic show except for one truly awful plot line. Really meeting the moment with this tech bro stuff too. Aubrey Plaza’s whole snobbiness / fake nice thing is perfectly acted.
jennifer coolidge crushes every scene she’s in. AGAIN. every time the camera rolls she absolutely loses her mind, and i’m glad the editors were able to use some of it and fit it into the tv show
I’ve never seen any episodes of White Lotus, but I correctly guessed who did the theme song in less than 2 seconds.
Strong disagree.
The assistant and nephew are both insufferable but I think they could save that storyline depending on how they close it out.
The first season was perfect/elite right up there with the classics imho.
Anyone watching The Peripheral? I’m two eps in and can’t decide if I want to continue or not.
time travel angle is a little too goofy for me
At 8 episodes total we’re plot committed but yeah this is a little rough and eps 3-5 not much better. Dude who played Dolores’ dad in WW is great though.
Who’s pumped for 1899 on Thursday?
Watch Pantheon instead.
Im through 4 and into 5. Its brilliant, and heartbreaking, and exciting, and mysterious.
And oh yeah, its beautiful. It always amazes me the limits animation can push when it comes to narrative.
Binged all 6 episodes of Mammals in 2 days. British production on Amazon Prime. Get over James Cordon being a lead, the show and the lead actress are well worth it.
