Thatâs pretty interesting.
I feel that the story of what America really thought of WW2 is not really told. There was a large number of people in the US that was totally cool with Hitler doing his thing and that is rarely addressed because we donât want to acknowledge the Nazis of America. Weâre always the good guys when the story of WW2 is told but it wasnât always so black-and-white.
Iâm surprised I havenât heard anyone make the direct argument that the US should have allied with the Nazis to take down the Soviet Union and communism instead of allying with Stalin to fight Hitler. I assume itâs out there but it hasnât penetrated to me.
Its such a dumb trope. There had to have been a better way to get this info.
Also
Really disliked the âscenes from next weekâ trailer. Hey, lets have this cliff hanger where the king surely seems like hes dead and, oh wait, no, its 15 years later and hes still alive. That would have been an interesting reveal next week, oh well.
Lots of complicity in the US State department. Really anti-semitism at the heart of it, not anti-communism.
Great read
The reveal of this information accomplishes a few things.
Alicent finds out in a way where she isnât obligated to have him punished.
Alicent finds out in a way so that Rhaenyra or anyone else doesnât know that she knows.
They donât repeat the trope of someone overhearing something.
It establishes how much his honor means to him as an explanation for why he was willing to take it to Joffrey like that.
I mean that I expected at least a few modern American fascist sympathizers to make the case that WW2 should have involved joining with Germany to take down the Soviet Union and I havenât seen anyone do it yet.
I also hated the âexpositlanationâ of the importance of the green dress. Like, gice your audience some fucking credit. Have a seen esrlier in the season that shows what green means to the Hightowers and how it signals war. Dont have her come in in a green green and have Explainy Mcnoname lean over and whisper to Wedding Atendeee #4 what it means.
So fucking lazy
Found this. Sounds a bitâŚ. Familiar
Should probably mention first that you are including spoilers from the next weeks preview before people click on it, since some of us donât watch those.

I thought that episode was really good
Dragons wasnât bad, agree that some of the stuff theyâre doing is missing the mark for me but Iâm enjoying the show so far.
I donât personally think the plot is good - I realized last night the reason I like it is for the most part the actors are all putting on a very good performance, particularly daemon.

There is an article on the front of CNN complaining that a gay person was brutally murdered.

I really like the crutch guy, he seems quite devious
This goes against their whole âactually Hitler was a communist, Nazi means National Socialistâ

I thought that the scene between Daemon and Rhaenyra was amazing
Clearly, the far right has an issue with appearing hypocritical and will do anything to avoid that.
Industry finale was fantastic imo. Harper is the WOAT
