The Television Streaming Thread: Now With Felonies

I watched the first season and had a few chuckles, I think I gave up in the second season. This feels like one of those things where it’s enough of an idea to support one season, but can’t really sustain.

I will add that season 4 is the best I think the show’s been since season 1, and that Jonathan Banks shows up as Frank’s dad “Big Bill” Murphy. Adds a lot to the show.

S13 of MST3k is going to be released on its own MST3k-speciifc streaming platform. Seems like a dumb idea but I’ll pay for it regardless.

pls link it here when it does because this is the first/only thing i’m hearing about it and i loved the netflix revival

FYI there’s a MST3k marathon going down right now at

NO APOLOGIES: Chappelle responded, as recalled the next day by the students, “My friend, with all due respect, I don’t believe you could make one of the decisions I have to make on a given day.” That peeved some students who were hoping for an apology or some semblance of one from Chappelle.

In response to another antagonistic question, Chappelle roughly told the student body of artists: “I’m better than every instrumentalist, artist, no matter what art you do in this school, right now, I’m better than all of you. I’m sure that will change. I’m sure you’ll be household names soon.”

I don’t know Dave. I feel like the kids are getting the better of you

I haven’t seen any posts about it but there’s a new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm and it’s decent. I have yet to see Richard Lewis though, and I miss Bob Einstein (though his brother Albert Brooks did do an episode).

eta okay apparently Lewis is in really poor health but this says he will be in some episodes this season

What’s fucked up is that he had his own camera team there and everybody else had to put their phones away. So he has all the recorded content at his disposal to do as he wishes. I suspect he went there to start shit since he specifically asked people who disagreed with him to come forward.

Since he was literally giving tickets away to his movie afterwards, it’s probably not gonna make much money.

So, Ted Lasso is brilliant. How come nobody said anything?

Not sure what level you’re on. But if you’re serious, there has been plenty of Lasso slurping here. General sentiment is that S1 GOAT, S2 prettay good.

No, not serious at all. Literally everyone ive spoken to loves it im just late to the game. Its fantastic.

The storyline between the female leads might be some of the best female writing ever on TV

Haha I wrote a ton of shit on Ted Lasso, I’m sure I’ve linked it before.

Season 1 was outstanding. Season 2 wasn’t as good but still is pretty funny and has some great moments.

I started watching ‘60 days in’ on netflix today as a joke while I practiced drums and holy shit. Watched a person get stabbed on camera after the other was chasing him around tossing garbage cans at him for a few minutes with no guards around. An embedded corrections officer from another jail is undercover and has gotten 2 shanks so far. A college quarterback seems to being going rogue and didn’t even tell people recording him most of the time that he has a shank.

Inb4: It’s all fake or some shit.

One of the guys the embedded was telling people (in Alabama!) that he was busted with 2 oz of cocaine and it was so obvious he had never touched cocaine ever in his life but expected to hang out in a fucking jail claiming he had been busted for that. Entertaining for the lols but jfc some of those people could die.

partner wanted to watch ghosts on paramount+. tried it, super cheesy. saw that it’s a remake of a british series, which unsurprisingly is a lot better. y’all should check it out
