The only anime I ever watched was Voltron.
Also, my brother and I had Voltron toys, but it was lame because we each only had one lion.

My one anime was Akira.
I started it last night too, even convinced my wife to watch it in Korean with subtitles which is a big win in my book. She would definitely just go with dubs if she was watching it herself. 2 episodes in it is fine I guess, not completely hooked but I’ll keep watching.
I am watching it in Korean with subtitles too. Dub is just distracting. Think it definitely picks up a bit once they go back.
i am not by any means an anime buff, but mine started with deep cuts like Macron1 and Speedracer. saw some cowboy bebop on adult swim, but was pretty much out of anime at that point, except for an occasional studio ghibli.
Enjoying this but with some of these the narrative seems so tilted by who agreed to be interviewed for the show. Robocop without hearing from Paul Verhoeven? I doubt the other people involved can even speak knowledgeably to how the film was actually made.
What the fuck did they combine to form?
Yeah, the decision in ep 2 is interesting but the episode turns out very slow because of it
Since I have few days off I watched “Braqueurs” today. 6 episodes is good enough. Pretty intense and I like it when nobody is off-limit like in GoT.
Just saw that the 2nd season of Fort Salem is now available on prime so that will probably be the next thing. Over 10 years ago when I was still playing poker for a living I watched a lot of the current tv shows running in the US but nowadays I have no idea what is actually new and good.
The original cartoon series really is outstanding.
Have been rewatching Billions and finally caught up to the latter half of Season 5 of Billions. The season had already fallen off a cliff, but these last episodes have been post-Michael Scott-Office-level bad.
Separate legs
Im glad I stopped after S3.
I didnt have Showtime for S4 and after seeing the horrendous reviews I never went back to pick it up.
What We Do in The Shadows is low key hilarious. I’m only a few episodes in though.
Season one is good but not amazing even if I have watched most 3+ times. Seasons 2 and 3 are quite better, with the Jackie Daytona ep being a recent high point for sitcoms
This actually isnt coming up on my netflix. Maybe it’s region locked. Really appreciate these recommendations though. Wife was already a fan of midnight diner, so we’ll try out the other shows you mentioned.
Yeah obviously not all of the Netflix Japan lineup is available outside of Japan, but I thought that show would be as it features foreigners.
If you have a VPN you can set the region to Japan and get access. I do that sometimes to watch something available in the US but not Japan.
The only hitch I run into is that after I’m done using the VPN, I have to log out and back in to Netflix to get it working right locally.
I’m liking the jokes on WWDITS but I wish someone would turn a few lights on. The show is so dark it almost feels like an audiobook.
It was great - probably my next video game screen name. Am a couple episodes past it now.
The Barron plot line was pretty weak, everything since has just been better. Nandor’s voice saying anything (fucking guy) or Laszlo yelling “bat” makes me laugh every single time.
