Anybody else try White Lotus (HBO). I’m 2 episodes in and it is close to being good. Unfortunately it just isn’t.
I watched the trailer and noped out if that was the best case they could come up with to make us interested.
I am enjoying White Lotus. A lot, actually. Although I will agree that episode #4 was pretty predictable. Prior to the episode I guessed almost exactly what was going to happen but was still there for it. I think a lot of the performances are very good too - the douchey guy, Armand, and Steve Zahn are the standouts imo.
The second episode of this season has a reveal that’s one of the funniest I’ve seen in a while. Good reminder that it’s not just a “comedy that’s actually a fuzzy heartwarming show” but is very funny.

I gotta say, the Kushner character is A+ casting, I want to punch that guy through the screen.
Way out on every scene with the older massage lady. Connie Britton is awesome.
Does anyone here watch shit-TV? As in Bravo, the Bachelor(ette) franchise, the nonsensical dating shows on Netflix, the Challenge, etc?

I do not. I can last 15-30 seconds on one of those shows before needing to continue flipping.
Not on the regular. My wife does sometimes, but her brand of shit-tv is house flipping and paranormal type stuff. There was one dating show we watched a few episodes of, I think on MTV, where people went on blind dates and comedians provided commentary over the clips. It had its moments, especially when I was stoned. Same with Nightly Pop on E!
My favorite quote about Alexandra which I can’t take credit for is “She’s one woman who probably has to say ‘guys guys, my boobs are down here’”
We used to have another couple over to watch the Bachelor. Well my wife and the other wife wanted to watch it and they tolerated the husbands hate watching and making comments, but the bachelor is so formulaic that it became harder to either watch or hate watch it until even the wives gave up
