The funny thing is that the implied spinoff - of the show called âBoschâ about Bosch the detective - is a show about two detectives named Bosch! I wonder what the title will be.
But this is pretty appropriate is you actually read the books. There, Bosch is a Vietnam Vet and one of the more difficult parts of reading them over the 10-15 years is seeing the convoluted hoops Connelly has to go through to come up with some plausible way to keep him doing work well after he has presumably started getting Social Security.
Apparently the leading candidate for the title is Bosch PI but they havenât made it official since itâs a spoiler for the current season. Theyâre already filming and seem to want it to air asap in order to maintain momentum while switching streaming platforms.
So the season finale of Top Chef was this week. I thought it was a fantastic season, all things considered since they filmed last October during the pandemic. I wonât spoil it in case some havenât watched yet but itâs just recently come out that the winner was fired from their job in December last year. Nothing official but it seems to be many instances of sexual harassment and creating a general bad workplace environment.
Iâm not seeing anything about multiple instances. On the surface this seems like asshole boss and stupid workplace relationship more than sexual harassment.
Oh, I may have misinterpreted the article. I just took ârepeated violationsâ to mean multiple harassment instances.
Edit add: the article I linked says essentially the same as yours. Padma had a tweet about how they werenât aware of any allegations and would be investigating. So I took it to be more serious than a employer disagreement.
I considered that but also thought that itâs been 3 days and I saw Padma say something about it so I figured it would be okay. Wasnât my intention or thought process. Apologies.
No Sudden Move on HBO Max is pretty good, absolutely worth watching. 1950s crime drama directed by Steven Soderbergh with a many-star cast. How bad could that be?
My favorite reality show ever, The Mole, just showed up on Netflix.
Itâs only two seasons long but itâs hosted by a fairly unknown Anderson Cooper. It tasks a group of people through challenges while one of them is the mole whose goal is to sabotage the game as much as possible.
Each week they answer questions about who they think the mole is. The lowest score gets âexecutedâ.
Going to rewatch it to see if my memories hold up. My recollection is that the ratings were modest (it was in that first wave of reality shows after survivor) and it ran into production conflicts with 9/11. There was a celebrity season with Amad Rashad as host (not sure if it is the S2 here having trouble remembering a regular S2)
But all the contestants are like almost thirty and up.
I do remember the first season pretty well and just rewatch the introduction I remember almost everyone. Check it out if you must.
