Is pandemic any good?
there is a TLC show on hulu called 90-day fiance and itās great. it follows the typical tlc documentary series format, featuring ugly/dorky guys and their super hot foreign fiances that they have to marry within 90 days or the women get deported.
itās hilarious, i laughed out loud more than a good comedy show. one of the guys lives with his parents at age like 30, and this smokin hot colombian girl comes to live with him in oaklahoma, and his parents are conservative and make her stay in his brotherās old bedroom. sheās like, āno, baby, i want to sleep with youā and heās like, āno those are the rules, weāre in my parentsā houseā lolol
the next guy is a mormon, and his girl is this chick from brazil who is so hot literally her first time in a hair salon the stylist recommends her to a modeling agency and she starts doing modeling gigs. and he refuses to have sex until marriage for religious reasons!
then the third girl is this super thin hot russian chick with this fat ugly guy, and he wants to have sex with her but she decided sheās not ready yet lol
the fourth couple was more close in terms of hotness and age so they were relatively boring, except for the ex wife who spiced things up with her craziness

alright i had so much fun with s1 i had to check out s2 of 90-day fiance. dropped out immediately after they introduced the new couples because they were all too close in terms of hotness and i didnāt get that āfreak vibeā that i want from this show. like i want to look at someoneās life and say, āhaha wow glad thatās not meā and there are 5 seasons on hulu so i said iām not even gonna waste my time on boring couples, lemme check out s3.
s3 wasnāt as good as s1 for me but it was good enough to keep me engaged. i thought most of the couples were pretty boring. like theyāre not even weirdos. but mark and nikki were easily the stars of this season. a 48-year age differential is bold as fuck and nikki is smoking hot. plus mark is a fuckin weirdo obviously.
the rest of the couples pretty much sucked, they were just normal people looking for love. like there was a big fat guy and a hot colombian girl but heās like a gregarious fat guy and heās latin american and he spoke fluent spanish so there wasnāt that extreme culture shock or michael scott awkwardness that i want to laugh along with.
so when i started s4 i had no idea what i was getting in to. jorge and anfisa are superstars, theyāre the best couple in 90-day fiance history. jorge is a big fat guy, heās awkward and shy and he keeps saying āiām sorryā like you just want to shake him, and his fiance anfisa is an absolute smokehouse and NUTS. like sheās so cold. both the russian women on the show this season seemed very cold to their men* but anfisa takes it to such extreme levels, and jorge just keeps taking it, like he canāt believe how hot she is and he canāt snap out of it long enough to end the nightmare. their relationship is the biggest trainwreck iāve ever seen and i once watched a video compilation of trains crashing. there are like 12 episodes and i must have shouted at my screen 20 times like get the fuck out of there! just end it! why are you going back to the jewelry store?! i got so worked up watching them, seriously season 4 is worth the watch if only for these two.
*the young russian girl in s3 was the sweetest girl, she was engaged to a mormon kid her same age and it seemed like they tried to make her out like she had a bad past, and she even was convinced at one point that she āwas a bad personā, but she just said she used to drink boozey cocktails and dance at a dance club for fun for like 2 years when she turned 18. and the whole mormon family was kinda like looking at her like she used to be a hooker or something.
overall show note:
the americans on the show obviously have a power dynamic over their partner, and i think a lot of them are in it for that power dynamic (except anfisa-goat, who flipped the game). and with the american women / foreign man couples you really notice it exaggerated because theyāre probably thrilled to finally have the upper hand in a relationship against a big muscular man (the american women are all shooting way above their numbers too lol).
WTF is happening with Rick & Morty??? āSeasonsā are five eps long now? Ridiculous. Harmon needs to abandon that shitty podcast and focus on giving the people what they want

Yeah I mean Iām not opposed to a month long break mid-season or whatever but theyāre saying March at the earliest for the rest of s4 and at some point you can no longer call it a āseasonā
Honestly, I was pretty disappointed with the first half of season 4.
Seemed that the episodes tried too hard to be weird and disappeared up their own assholes.

I mean they were green lit for like 70 more episodes or something? I remember at the time how happy they were that theyād eventually be able to go into syndication. At this rate Harmon will be dead long before they reach 100
Watched Messiah. I thought it was right between the two takes here, which were amazing and awful. For $15/mo, Iām satisfied if thatās the average original programming I get.
Watching the second season of You now, which 6 episodes in is basically unwatchable. Iāll finish this season, but barring some crazy āmust watchā phenomenon next season, Iām finished with this show. Do not recommend.

Better Things is the best thing Iāve seen in a while. A must watch for parents.
Did you guys watch the two-season Fox show Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles? Both seasons are streaming now on IMDB (free with ads). Stars a pre-Game of Thrones Lena Headey and a post-Firefly Summer Glau.
Season one very obviously suffered from the writerās strike, and a set designer friend at the time told me Fox only renewed it because it was cheaper to give it a second season than greenlight a new show.
But man does season two give us some of the very best Terminator stories you could imagine. For me, this is the true sequel to Terminator 2, and holy shit at that series ending!!!
If you havenāt yet seen it, I suggest you start with season two episode 6, which grapples with the very real struggle with PTSD a teenage boy would struggle with after the events of the second movie. Johnās transformation into humanityās future leader depends on him not cracking under the strain, and I felt more worried about that futureās survival here than when heās facing down actual Terminators.
Plus hints at some of the other cool sci-fi ideas the show explores.
Of course most people will at least want to watch the pilot first, but Iām just saying that if you were only going to watch one episode as a test, start with s2e6

This show just sounds depressing. If you want to watch hot women just watch some Netflix Mexican telenovelas imo.
itās a lighthearted dating show plus the jorge/anfisa storyline for intense drama. all laughs no tears
