The Television Streaming Thread: Now With Felonies

lol 12.

Three. Four if you count the French channel, and the rabbit ears were pointed right. Rural Canada wasn’t the apex of civilization in the 70s.

Still have cable, set it up myself. Guide is primary means of flipping channels… Old enough for the OTA TV in the kitchen to have UHF and VHF dials. No longer have that TV.

Can’t believe they’ve kept Handmaid going for more than like two seasons. Seems like they must be milking the heck out of the source material.

I thought Nick was George’s uncle?

I think 19 is fox now

When I was a kid, the channel dial on our kitchen TV broke off, so we used a pliers to change channels.

FOXNews viewers who need their fix.

I know the groups overlap heavily but still.

Saw The Sons of Sam on Netflix. I didn’t know the depth of the cult angle behind Son of Sam so it was pretty interesting to me.

I was lol poor when I was a kid. My dad had stuff like this everywhere. For some reason I have an old memory of him starting our car with a screwdriver when I was very small. Like he kept a screwdriver in the car because he had to wedge it into something to get the car to start.

Season three was great. Season four has gone off the rails IMO.

Haven’t been watching much lately outside of a few network and streaming comedies, but one thing I can tell our Anglophile friends is that so far this season of This Time with Alan Partridge is very, very good.

Lawwwwwllll Westworld Season 3 starts off in the real world with the lazy dystopian future that any damn lazy writer can think of. Look, everyone’s wearing wacky clothes, people are on new crazy drugs, electronics run everything, including a crime app, but life is shitty for the poor and great for the rich

We had just one channel when I was a kid living out the back of Bourke and it pretty much was just nothing but snow screen except when Sesame St came on which worked well for me as I was that age group. Next place we moved to had 2 working channels so was very exciting lol.

I lived out on a farm for a couple of years growing up and the TV and only had two channels, which ran Star Trek TNG, MASH, Quantum Leap, and Murder She Wrote non stop.

Confirmed dad

No idea what the channels are now.
Also forgot how exciting it was when UPN showed up. Star Trek Voyager and syndicated sit-coms!

They would have related more to the horse story lol.

Wait until you tell them how you used to make phone calls or get money out of the bank.
