If you enjoy the " French retro spy pastiche" genre I highly recommend the “OSS 117” movies from a decade ago (with same lead actor and director as The Artist). They are similar in spirit to the show you mention but imo much funnier, although not sure how much would be lost in translation for American audiences.
I’m rewatching Succession s1. Still think it’s not as good as s2, but there’s some gems which I didn’t fully appreciate on first viewing, like this moment from episode 2 :
I agree(d) with this (although I love Odenkirk) and didn’t watch BCS when it first came out. I was like “that’s going to suck” when I heard there was a Saul spinoff. Once it started and people told me it was good I didn’t believe them. Then eventually I watched it, and obviously I was wrong.
Honestly I was pretty high and drunk a very solid portion of the time when I sent that, so I’m pretty sure I know who I sent it to (and therefore who you are), but not 100%.
Big Ricks are probably trading at 20K a piece in the BCS universe right now.
Elon Musk accepting Big Ricks for a seat on his civilian passenger spacecrafts. Down payments on Martian land masses… “Five Rickies for an acre” he’d say. For anybody that can come up with 100 Rickies, well damn it, that’s good for a litre of genuine certified Neptunian Nitrogen TM.
Seriously though does anyone ever browse the guide anymore like we used to do in the before times in the long long ago? There’s always some quirky shit going on, especially on weekends. Freeform, whatever the hell that is, is airing ‘The Wedding Singer’ followed by ‘The Wedding Planner.’ MTV2 is featuring a marathon of ‘The Jamie Foxx Show’ and I had completely forgotten he had his own sitcom at one point. There is a Star Wars, Lord of the Rangs, Harry Potter or some combination there of marathon 52 weekends out of the year, seemingly. And if you scroll far enough you can almost reach Zion itself.
You lazy kids with your guide channels. Back in my day we had to read the newspaper to see what was on. Or just spin the dial because there’s only 12 options to check out.
