Nice, I think it gets even better after season 3.
You know, people say this a bit, but I donāt agree. Given everything weāve seen to that point, especially McNultyās frustration with the system and his alcoholism and the erratic behavior itās led to, it makes sense for his character that heād try to do something that outlandish.
Itās not nearly as ārealisticā as what people may have come to expect, but I mean, neither is an open-air drug market, honestly. Itās a plausible character choice and thatās what drama is about.
The bigger problem with season 5 was that the newspaper arc was largely Simon grinding his axe against his old bosses, and he didnāt really develop those characters beyond what he needed in order to do that.
Sitting here in 2021 with all of our shared experience, I would say the biggest disappointment going back and watching The Wire now is that it will come across as Copoganda. Thereās corruption and racism presented but by and large the cops are all presented as good people with an impossible job.
- Yes, I would post memes and stuff.
- Yes, I would watch along with everyone and lurk in the thread.
- No, I have watched it recently.
- No, that show sucks.

Iām with you. A solid landing in the last season will put BCS in my top spot. Last season was sooooooo good on reflection
Mid season 7 GOT update
So far not the worst. Kind of moving the pieces and the deep complexity of the early seasons arenāt there but not so bad and some parts are still quite good
But why, when Jon and them go north of the wall, are they all walking? Why didnāt they take horses? If youāre goal is to capture a wight and get back wouldnāt you want the fastest way to travel? II donāt mean that seriously. Itās not a big issue just something that bothered me.
I think it was supposed to be a āstealthā mission so you canāt have horses making noise because they saw a zombie.
That said it was still a super dumb idea on every other level.
I wonder if those that watched it as it aired and discussed it at length on the internet between each episode will generally have a different feeling opposed to those that binged it all after it was finished.
How many episodes per session?
Also can it be on Tuesday instead? And a bit earlier? My revised teaching schedule allows me to sleep super-late Tuesday into Wednesday.
It blew my mind when I learned, years later, that Michael Jordan was Wallace.
mike b.
Well Jon can teleport from one end of the country to another. Why would he need a horse?
The Shield is top tier rewatchability.
The Navy SEAL kidnap a wight mission north of the wall was definitely one if the dumber plotlines
It looks like only two people were interested in having a watch-along. I kinda want to get something going when Iām done with Twin Peaks, but idk what shows people would want to see.
I might be interested, but donāt want to fully commit to something yet.
In 10 weeks itās going to be summer and everyone is going to be vaccinated. I may be too interested in seeing people that I havenāt seen in over a year.
8th annual Live On Cinema At The Cinema Oscar Special today. Super stoked
Did any movies actually get released this year?
