Jesus fuck, that first season of Utopia almost lost me a couple of times, but I binged it in two days so it was doing something right.
Is the original UK series not available for streaming outside the UK???
I have so many good movie going memories. I seem to have a pretty good knack of remembering the exact theater where I saw something. Supposedly spatial memory is better than other types of memory because it was really important for hunter gatherers to be able to find their way around.
One special experience was watching Hiroshima Mon Amour in a filmmaking class in college. Wasnât exactly a movie theater, but was a classroom with a screen and a projector. And one of the cool things about that class was to get to see something totally new that you didnât know anything about.
It wasnât just highbrow stuff either. We also watched Used Cars.
But Hiroshima Mon Amour was pretty mind blowing.

OK, so John Hodgemanâs Dicktown is absolutely hysterical. 5/5 bags of popcorn. I think you can see it on Hulu or some weird FXX streaming service or like me you can download the whole season on a 100% totally legal torrent site, but you absolutely have to watch this if you are an insufferable white NPR-listening dude who lols at John Cage jokes.

I tried the first few episodes, didnât hate it, but it didnât draw me in either. Iâve heard from others as well that it keeps getting better, so may have to revisit this one.

I thought you were also into the CW superhero shows. 
I just finished the first 2 seasons of Succession. My god they fucking nailed every dipshit/asshole/sociopath wealthy/powerful archetype.
If I had known that it was produced by Adam McKay and Will Ferrell, I would have watched it far sooner, as I love McKayâs recent films The Big Short and Vice.
Seems that McKay should be on the short list of directors/producers to helm HBOâs inevitable series based upon the Trump era.

Hmm what were your thoughts on Vice? Big Short GOAT, but Vice for me felt meandering, no real shape or intention to the narrative beyond stunning recreations. Generally agreed though that they are a powerhouse creative team.
