The Television Streaming Thread: Now With Felonies

Best is correct. There is really only one right answer. I really like The Supremes and the one where Josh sees the shrink after cutting his hand. I also love Ainsley Hayes episodes.

The camp david one was pretty bad.

I love the West Wing as a fantasy show of how I wish the world worked.

Haha yes, and then he curses God in Latin and stubs a cigarette out on the floor of the National Cathedral. Gold!

When he first leaves it’s super obvious and the show is very bad for all of season five. Season six offers some glimmers of hope, and then I quite enjoyed Season seven.

Before season 4. He only comes back for a couple episodes at very end.

One episode into The Boys, and man, already this is the most legitimate bastard child of The Watchmen that I’ve ever seen.

Watching it now. Movie is fun. You should pretty much already know if you are going to like it or not. But my main takeaway is Millie Bobby Brown has a life long career in Hollywood if she wants it. 16 years old and has this role and Stranger Things…sky is the limit for her.

To me the most unexpected thing was that her accent didn’t seem completely terrible. She did a British accent a damn sight better than a lot of adult actors I’ve seen make the attempt. I’m glad that her stranger things character has gotten “meatier” over the seasons, as well.

She’s talented for sure.

Lmao I’m an idiot.

Ok, fine! Her American accent in stranger things is excellent!!

If you’re reading this and you haven’t yet watched the Scandi noir series The Bridge, stop what you’re doing and download it.

Watched the Netflix true-crime doc American Murder. It’s well-done and compelling because it’s made up entirely of footage from the family and investigation. With that said, it does such a good job “taking you inside” that I was nauseous for most of it - it’s not gruesome, it’s just a horrible story. Steer clear if these things easily disturb you, especially if you have kids.

Watched this last night and agree. Had to look away at several points.

Some of the techniques used to immerse you in the story are cool!!! I loved typing out the recovered text messages as they would have occurred in the timeline, and strangely thought the tkk tkk sound they chose for the sound effect of texting by tapping a cell phone screen was very good.

I agree, it really makes you feel like it’s happening in real time. I also liked

The neighbor with the security camera being like “yeah, he is NOT acting right at all and is obviously guilty” in the first 30 minutes of the investigation.

Any clue where this is streaming in the US? It looks like S1/S2 are on Hulu. The other two seasons I haven’t found except on Amazon for 24/season.

Wasn’t planning on watching but about 30% through now and it’s good

Enjoyed it

Guys a dumbass, couple comments about “well she’s a woman” referring to the friend of his wife’s knowing more friends and once about his wife seem to be misogynistic imo. Seems like the wife used social media a bit too much imo. Dude def premeditated it, as they said I doubt it went down the way he said it did especially cuz she said they didn’t have sex that night and he claimed they did. Really doubt he drove to that dump site with the kids alive.

No idea how he thought he could possibly get away with it though.

Man, I hope not, because the alternative - his telling - is that they rode in the back seat together with their mother’s dead body on the floor.

Did anyone else make it to the Korean episode of Lovecraft Country?

Each series has a self contained storyline with the police characters a constant theme throughout. We saw S1/S2 on the BBC iplayer but Hulu sounds good there if you have it. Watching S3 on Amazon now at £5. It’s an absolute steal.
