The Television Streaming Thread: Now With Felonies

Is “I’d rather eat my eyes with satan’s pitchfork” also a maybe?

Sounds closer to a yes

My girlfriend and I enjoyed the first two seasons of this, then gave up a couple episodes into the third season. It just seems to be missing what made the first two seasons good.

I didn’t really enjoy the INDY seasons too much. I don’t know if you’d like the latest season or not because because the latest season keeps the same structure but the tone is so different.

I, for the life of me, can’t figure out why ICE gave the camera crew access for Immigration Nation. I mean public affairs officials know that, at a minimum, the coverage needs to be extremely favorable just to counteract the negativity of the hum drum of bureaucracy vs the potentially very empathetic portrayals of the people they’re deporting?

In addition to this, Raised by Wolves, the new Ridley Scott hits the day before. What a week!

Watching ep1 and YIKES similar thoughts

This is a fantastic series. Love the independent stories, the occasional intersections of narratives. The relationships feel very real, and I love how each person or couple resolved their arcs. A ton of great actors in this, too. Marc Maron in one, Dave Franco running an illegal brewery out of his garage lol that was great. The married couple exploring polyamory was fascinating in its depiction.

The documentary Tread on Netflix is absolutely batshit insane. Worth watching.

When a young newlywed enters the one chamber in her husband’s mansion that’s off-limits, she faces the horrifying consequences of defying the rules.

What an amazing movie. This thing kept me on my toes with a new WTF?! every twenty minutes. Normally I play on my phone or whatnot while watching stuff, but I couldn’t look away from this one. The ending was perfection.

This is a great movie for fans of Ex Machina. Not at all the same premise, but the same kind of intense curiosity to uncover the movie’s secrets, and more than once thinking you’ve outsmarted the movie until you get hit with a delightful twist.

I think the goodness lasted longer than that.

Season 6 finale was so much fun.

Huh thats on netflix now. I spent $5 to view it on Amazon a few months ago.

You got cute puppies, and an interesting look on what it takes to be a guide dog. Well worth the watch.

Yeah this movie is really good and wholesome.

I thought it was ok but not super good.

They tried way too hard to make it seem like she actually had a role in catching him or that her work was significant in any way. It wasn’t, LEO was already doing this and had already caught several guys and the dude rebuilding the tree was not involved in his capture in any way. It was just a pretty sad story of one person super addicted to true crime and drugs. I liked the humanizing aspect of it and the community dedicated to catching the guy etc, but pretending she was a major force in catching him or was some super investigative detective was pretty ridiculous. She brought media attention to the case which is great but I mean I’m pretty sure they’d still catch him.

It felt wrong that they were glorifying her when it was clear what she was doing was super unhealthy and she obviously needed/should have gotten help.

I’m 3 episodes in but clicked your spoiler anyways since its well known how it ends, but yea i feel the exact same way and I’m going to finish it but I’m not feeling it much at all for reasons you listed.

Maybe its better for people who didn’t know about the killer before?

on ep4, she apparently decides that one of her ex’s is a suspect and arranges for him to come meet her from wherever he lives now, far away it seemed, and gets the dudes DNA so the cops can test it.
