So tell me if I’m all alone here, but would anyone be interested in a weekly watch party for the last two seasons of Game of Thrones? It’s been so long, I think it’s time to revisit how awful it was. Together.
I think we’d want to do two episodes per week tho. Perhaps one Friday, one Saturday. The idea of stretching out a GoT rewatch of the worst seasons over months would make me wish for covideath.

Finished Umbrella Academy Season 2. It’s great, as expected.
Also, I just read an article that some Jewish organizations/people are criticizing the show for using an anti-semitic trope. There’s a scene where the “Handler” who leads the Commission - the organization that controls the world’s timeline - uses yiddish. IIRC, it was literally one word of yiddish, which I, as a Jew myself, found amusing. But apparently some believe this was anti-semitic because it plays on the “Jews control the world” trope.
I’m as sensitive as anyone to anti-semitism, but come the fuck on. It was a word of yiddish, said in a silly, entertaining way. I think if the writers were going for a dog whistle, they would have made it a little louder across two seasons.

Aw I hear you, but the first three seasons were SO good. I think it’s fine if consumed knowing that it may be best left unfinished.
Instead of watching something terrible like the last two seasons of GOT, we can all watch the 5 amazing seasons of You’re the Worst, or the 1 so far great season of The Boys
It went from a well done drama with fantasy elements into a dumb big budget action movie.
I like both genres so I didn’t hate the end of GOT, but its not the same tone or type of show that season 3 was.

Anyway, I’ve been planning to do a S1 rewatch to prep for S2, so I am down of course, assuming start time is late enough since I am back amongst the land of the employed.
Anyone who hasn’t seen it, it comes highly recommended from both Risky and I, two of the best TV watchers on the board.
