After sort of quite enjoying S1 of Dark, albeit with reservations, watched E 1 and 2 of S2 and that was enough for me.

It left less of an impression on me the more I saw of it. I meant to come here and post this the day after abandoning it, but forgot about it, which tells its own story.

You missed the big reveal. Donā€™t read unless you donā€™t care.

Jonas is doomed to live life over and over and over again as heā€™s being punished for breaking up with Martha for a headturner right before they left for college. Martha is not immortal but she can remain alive to torture Jonas as long as her own personal time machine is filled every 33 years with dead children. Jonas has to search all over time to try and find a way to kill Martha and, shockingly, the only way to do so is to attempt to open the door and surprise Ulrich into spilling his seed on the floor Onan-style at the very moment Martha is conceived. Jonas wears a shark outfit in order to shock him.

Ok, ok I admit the last line is made up. I doubt Germans could even think of such a thing.

I signed up for Hulu, and Iā€™ve been really enjoying ā€œYouā€™re the Worst.ā€ I just finished the first season.

I just finished binging the whole season [Top Chef 17].

I really felt Melissa was a step above everyone else the entire time. She has a legitimately unique cooking style while Bryan V is obviously extremely skilled, some of the novelty of his techniques has worn off in the last decade since he came on Top Chef. Gregory was great in the first half but had a couple of shows in a row where his dishes seemed off and they were kinda more forgiving than they would be for others.
Not sure if I buy the Stephanie was good enough to make the finals, but I get the story and she makes good TV and hard not to root for her.
I was kinda surprised to read that Melissa doesnā€™t actually cook in any restaurant now and Gregory is an executive chef in a Hotel in Portland. I would assume that making the final of top chef would easily get you some investors for your own place.
Also thereā€™s no possible way that Padma is a human

Oh shit, youā€™re in for a treat. S2 is my favorite TV season of all time. I never thought anything would surpass Simpsons S7, but here we are.

I realize now that may put unnecessary hype and expectation on the show now. So ignore that. But enjoy, S2 and 3 are great, season 4 is really good, and while S5 falls into the mostly very good category, the ending is one of my all time favorites

Checked out the first episode of Intelligence on Peacock tonight. Comedy starring David Schwimmer as a dickhead NSA liaison to the UKā€™s cybersecurity division of the Government Communications Headquarters.

Itā€™s ok. I never had a big laugh, but I did have a bunch of solid chuckles. Has potential once they get into some story as opposed to intro. Looks like an easy, no-brain comedy. Seeing David Schwimmer as an asshole (and dropping f-bombs) is pretty funny.

Corporate and Tacoma FD came back this week, for those people interested in that sort of thing.

Iā€™m a few episodes into S2, and so far it seems like every main character besides for Edgar and Paul could use a punch in the face.

I always hated Schwimmer in Friends (and also hated Friends) but I liked him as the asshole opposite Larry David in that season of Curb where theyā€™re doing The Producers together.

Itā€™s funny, my wife still watches Friends all the time and I realized I donā€™t like most of the characters. The only two I like are the dumbest ones: Joey and Phoebe. Joey > Phoebe >>> Monica > Rachel > Ross >>>>>> Chandler >>>>>>>>> Drugged-out Chandler

Just finished little fires everywehere from amazon prime. Fucking spellbinding. Go watch it. Itā€™s a purely female experience but perfectly subtle about it, the story is great, it has that element of mystery that all prestige tv these days has to have but the ā€œtwistsā€ such as they are arenā€™t for shock value or to make people feel smart for guessing them. Itā€™s a nice self contained story that has no sequel bait hooks, So it can have a fully satisfying ending. Every character is complicated (though the men arenā€™t particularly fleshed out possibly by design). Go watch it.

Iā€™ll add it to the list :+1:

I just love that Reese Witherspoon spends her time reading books and going hell yeah, letā€™s adapt that into a great movie/mini-series. Her production company has made one spectacular book adaptation after another featuring strong female leads.

Finished Hunters on Amazon Prime. It was good. I bit different than I thought it would be - I thought it was going to be a gung-ho Nazi hunting spectacular. While there was certainly some choice Nazi hunting, it had a lot more of a deep backstory than I thought it would. As a Jew, there are some really tough moments to watch, could get quite emotional. My parents told me they couldnā€™t get past the second episode.

Curious if there will be another season, as it certainly set itself up for one.

Pacino was great. Dude from How I Met Your Mother, Carol Kane, and Saul Rubinek were fantastic, too. Really, the whole cast was quite good.

It was on prime for me. No idea about usa#1.
