You gotta remember Jerry doesn’t give a shit about anything. It makes him funnier IMO when you know that.
Jerry plays more like the straight man criticizing the other three more often than not.
Honestly, Larry is the funnier one of the two. They have similar personalities in some ways but Larry is self-deprecating while Jerry isn’t.
He’s not kidding. This is a perfect read for Ozark fans.
I think I am a few episodes into it, but I might give it a shot.
Thanks for all the suggestions got a list of stuff to try now.
I really enjoyed the movie. So much so I was the one guy who watched the tv show. I like this recommend. I think something I have seen might fit the bill so I don’t get on myself for not paying attention.
This is near the top of my series rewatch list. Might pull the trigger, I have decided I need the comfort of something familiar without the pressure of paying super close attention.
Agree, great series. But if you watch the behind-the-scenes episode with the walruses, prepare to have your heart ripped out and shredded into a million pieces. That was brutal to watch.
actual joke from Seinfeld’s new special:

The table read will be shown in its entirety, along with a Q&A of fan questions, on Monday, May 18, at 2 p.m. PT via Sony Pictures TV’s “Community” YouTube page. The cast is set to read “Cooperative Polygraphy,” the fourth episode of Season 5, which first aired January 16, 2014 on NBC.
Jerry Seinfeld owes every cent he has to Larry David.
Larry really seems to be the same person even with insane wealth as he was when he was writing for SNL. He still has casual sports rants about the knicks and rangers. His stuff is still as funny. Seinfeld is just hack material now.

The young folks watch Grey’s Anatomy?
Awesome. Saw their recent vulture fest panel where they all met up sans Glover (and Chevy) but apparently Donald showed up at the after dinner.
I just recently watched all of season 5 after dr. Ken and Joel mchale were discussing how dan Harmon came back for s5 and how they felt s5e1 was a second pilot. So I checked that out and rolled through the season well into s6.
Thing about that show is so many episodes stick out. All the paintball episodes, the D&D episodes, the blanket fort pillow fort, the bottle episode, the law and order episode etc etc. The KFC episode.
And my favorite Remedial Chaos Theory.
Neat!!! I am jealous you got to see the Vfest panel.
Inspired me to put on an episode of Community for a late-night laugh
Girls in pre-med/pharmacy
Community is one of those shows that went completely under my radar when it was on. Just binged the whole thing over the course of a week or two.
Posted about this in the movie thread, but since it’s actually streaming, too, I guess I’ll post it here (was looking for a TV thread).
Comedy Central debuted, with no prior advertising whatsoever, a new series called “Robbie” last night after The Daily Show. They also posted all eight episodes to YouTube. It’s about a church league basketball coach (Rory Scovel) who is living in his father’s shadow (Beau Bridges).
I had been waiting for this because my son, my wife, and I are all background extras in it. My wife and I are both in episode 6. She’s true, blurry background. I’m the coach of the opposing team in the very first scene. Thought it was kind of cool that I’m in the shot with the big title splash.
My son is one of the kids on Robbie’s team in a couple episodes. He can be seen in episode 4, but he is all over the place in the final episode. There are a couple scenes where Robbie is talking to the team, so my kid is right there, lots of camera time.
I watched the first episode with him. Whoops - there was a sex scene.
Can a mod change the title of this thread?
It’s clearly the TV thread.
