I watched a lot of Coffee in Cars and what I took away from it is that Seinfeld is a pretentious jerk. He isn’t interested in anyone’s opinion who isn’t a comedian. That makes it harder for me to care about watching his specials anymore.
That doesn’t bother me. I don’t care if he’s a jerk. We all aren’t going to get along all the time. He’s also doing a show in public. It’s kinda hard to stay on topic if you acknowledge every single person gawking at you.
Agree. The cliffhanger ending makes me mad. What happened next!!! And it was rad that Bradley Cooper guest starred in a few episodes as his character from the movie. They expanded on the world building in interesting and surprising ways.
My only real complaint, and this is just a what if question, is in the change they made from the book. The book is about the perils of drug addiction. It has anything but a happy ending.
Now I’m all for Limitless the movie having a happy ending, but it always kind of disappoints me because it never feels earned. Eddie Moira gives up NOTHING in order to achieve his happy ending. There’s no character arc. All he does is decide to survive and holy gee, isn’t it nice things worked out in the end without requiring any kind of sacrifice on his part.
It doesn’t have to bother you, you didn’t ask why you liked the Seinfeld special you asked why others weren’t on the bandwagon. I can’t separate his personality when he isn’t on stage from when he is any longer and don’t feel the need to give him any of my attention. He was still funny in his the coffee show, and it’s probably more of the same, but just not interested.
The Netflix Our Planet Attenborough series is engrossing and diverting, especially the third episode Jungles where you’ll see the weirdest and most impressive bird
Got annoyed about his fake laughing in CICGC
That show is edited to death. The fact that he comes off as a prick at any point in that show is a bad sign. He has complete control over the production of it.
He doesn’t care. He has fuck you money and is probably happy to throw his friends whatever the appearance fee on that show is.
Holy shit, in the midst of the pilot for Motherland: Fort Salem and jeeeeesus is this good.
Imagine Harry Potter if it was all teenage girls. After acts of magical terrorism, Hogwarts has gone public and become a military school sending barely-trained witches to combat evil acts across the world. This shit instantly gets buck wild.
Ohhhh. That’s why I can see his posts now
Has there ever been a person who could so easily be president if they wanted to be?
The concept actually had me feeling it, then I saw the network and went all eyebrow raisey. But if you’re vouching I might check it out.
Maybe not. Even Oprah doesn’t have as good a shot.
Dude, it is astonishingly good. I just finished the first episode and am all aboard to binge the current season.
I generally don’t like fantasy stuff. But this is a political and military thriller with magic as the weapon. The worldbuilding is incredible. You immediately get a sense for the limits and rules of this system of magic, the stakes in their war against the terrorist organization named Spree.
And it is quite progressive with a diverse cast, LGBT representation, and insightful commentary on the military for good and bad. Also kind of a fantasy fulfillment for me to see witches treated with the kind of quiet reverence we reserve in today’s society for noble warriors.
Alright, I’m in
I’ve never made it through an episode of Seinfeld but Curb Your Enthusiasm is one of my favorite things on this planet.
What am I doing wrong?
If it helps, Larry is George on Seinfeld.
I’m one of only a few who grew up in the nineties who just cannot get into Seinfeld, and I love Curb too.
Honestly, Larry is just a more interesting character than Jerry ever was.
This is one of the problems. I find it hard to watch a show where the lead is the least interesting person on the cast. Jerry isnt very funny or interesting.
