My father still seethes with anger over Bork. When I ask if the guy who carried out the Saturday Night Massacre belonged on the Supreme Court, he goes silent. When I press, he says Democrats were so disrespectful to him and that wasnât necessary. When I say âCome on man, thatâs more important than carrying out the Saturday Night Massacre? Republicans couldnât find one judge or lawyer in the country with conservative principles without a scandal like that???â he just gets a big shit eating grin.
Weâve had this argument probably four times now, he still gets visibly mad about Bork every time. Itâs like their fucking goal is to find the biggest scumbag to put on the court, and if we point that out weâre the fucking assholes.

Sheâs well known by the NH bros here. Her husband was one of the few who did any legit time for the Bundy Standoffs - I think he did 4+ years. As you can imagine she has appeared repeatedly on CNN as a Pro-Trump voice. I enjoyed Trump not pardoning her husband.
It is important to note the NH House of Reps is huge in size, of little power, and low paying ($100 a year), so few non-cranks on either side of the aisle want to run for it.
