“Senator Collins’ position on the filibuster is unchanged,” Collins spokeswoman Annie Clark said Tuesday.
Also apparently the difference between Dems’ bill and Collins’ bill is that the Dems’ bill has some language about protecting access to healthcare services for the LGBTQ community, and specifically mentions transgendered individuals.
It’s truly remarkable the way Collins and Murkowski always manage to position themselves to do something meaningless to protect women and families while doing something meaningful to hurt them

After doing some twitters reading it’s pretty clear that for a lot of the nut jobs it’s as much, if not more about punishing non-marital sex than it is about zygotes.
Don’t want an unplanned pregnancy? Don’t have sex. Of course the bro dudes are for contraception as long as it’s 100% the women’s responsibility. No comment on who might be donating the sperm in all these pregnancies.

Sinema clarifies her position on the filibuster with regard to a woman’s right to choose, and whoa boy is it a doozy. She says preserving the filibuster is essential to protecting abortion rights. Yes, you read that correctly.
Sinema implied in her statement the Senate’s filibuster rule is important to protecting the rights of women to make their own health decisions, including the right to an abortion.
“Protections in the Senate safeguarding against the erosion of women’s access to health care have been used half-a-dozen times in the past ten years, and are more important now than ever,” she said.
Biden’s reelection scheme is to do nothing, point to something vile that the Republicans did, and go, “THAT’S WHY YOU NEED TO VOTE FOR US AGAIN!”
