What have Democrats done to protect abortion? There is nothing stopping them from advancing legislation - the right is taunting them to do so with the endless “back to the legislature” bullshit. They have 50 senate votes for it.

There are tons of nonvoters who’ll want to put people in to write a federal anti-abortion law after this decision

SCOTUS will find states have rights to make their own abortion laws and that federal abortion law cannot pre-empt.

Oh, I know her well enough to know that she knows what’s going to happen. She’s just venting about it. At the same time, she’s definitely symbolic of one of those people who has almost given up on the Democratic party.
Right, but even granting that, one may be forgiven for thinking a vote for the democrats is not a vote for a party that will actually fucking do anything other than send fundraising emails and nuke actual progressives.
