Pete ran a great campaign and I previously praised its results even if I don’t agree with most of his positions or the end result of it. He had grassroots support. To me that is important. Like you said Biden has none. He is a zombie being propped up to benefit the donor class and it’s sad to me.
Or 3 year term for Kamala.Or the DNC is absolute garbage and Republicans push through 2+ scotus and 100+ federal judges.
I just checked CNN and I forget which state it was, maybe VA, but half voters decided who to vote for within last 3 days. I’m gonna throw up
Virginia is gone man. It’s time to root for Bernie to come out with a delegate lead tonight and then we redouble efforts for Bernie from here. He is not having a massive night like we all hoped but that’s ok.
lol just amazing
Margins are important nonetheless. He needs to get SOME delegates in VA.
These early exit polls skew old and moderate. Polls are still open for another hour in VA - these are people who voted in the morning and early afternoon.
Nonetheless, not a good sign.
He will. I’m just saying all is not lost unless Biden runs the table besides the west tonight. I’m going to hope for a lead after tonight. That keeps hope alive until the next debate where Joe will have to talk for like an hour. Anything is possible in that scenerio.
Half of the electorate being late deciders is not unusual.
I never had too much hope for Bernie in the south. That’s Biden land. Southern democrats are a breed of their own (I know, I’m related to many) with a weird mish mash of policy positions that to us make no sense.
I just hope Bernie is at least viable in every southern state.
Bernie lost VA by 30 points in 16, it’s okay.
For more evidence that voters are just dumb: MSNBC exit polls show 17% of Virginia voters said the coronavirus was the most important factor in their vote.
jesus fucking christ
Yeah, I have a feeling that most of the people supporting Biden are fairly offline olds, who are so offline that they vote because it’s something exciting to do. Bernie was criticized by many for saying the SC vote wasn’t representative or something. I don’t think it is representative. It’s mostly older, fairly conservative african americans who were cowed for a long time by a borderline terroristic white majority in SC. They seem to want a safe choice more than any risk of uncertainty. I think it’s odd that there has been so much consolidation, as I suspect Iowa is at least as representative as SC.
edit: I expected consolidation to happen, but I’m shocked it happened before Super Tuesday. I’m fairly certain that it wasn’t the result of eDem’s, which don’t exist in any real sense (they are the “deep state” of the democratic party), but it may have been the result of Bloomberg getting it and slicing the pie even thinner. (Ironically, people are saying Bloomberg undermined his own goals by getting in, but if he wanted a centrist/Biden then perhaps he is achieving his goals. However, I somehow doubt Bloomberg’s real goal doesn’t involve Bloomberg being crowned.)
A reminder that no matter who wins, our countrymen are fucking idiots. USA#1!
My polling place today had much longer lines than 2016 primary and they looked to be 85% offline olds.
I’m also hearing from Pete volunteers who have started trying to volunteer for Biden (phone and text banking) that it is incredibly disorganized and whatever app they are using is horrible.
Makes me want to scream. If the moderates did have to consolidate…why Biden? dammit.
I’ve studied public opinion for too long to be shocked by that.
This is why I think Dems should accuse Trump of diverting money from the CDC towards his wall. It doesn’t matter if it is true. If Dems repeated it over and over as a talking point, people will believe it.
32% Hispanic vote in TX!!
Oh shit, did I say that out loud?
