where can I watch this thing going on in london? It’s not on NHK that I can find
I was gonna say the nattou sumo discord, but that might be down now? I was hoping to watch this on the weekend, but NHK is doing everything possible to stop international sumo fans from getting into the sport.

Ura doing Ura things:
More Ura things!
guess I’m gonna have to get a vpn to watch this shit, only place I can find is “BBC iPlayer” which is region locked
Ura goin crazy out there, dude is in his element
Too bad the London Koen is all basically a professional wrestling exhibition and not real sumo but it’s still entertaining nonetheless.
Hoshoryu wins all the no-one-else-is-trying tournaments.
Today I learned that Onosato is a fluent English speaker.
Move of the tourney by Aonishiki–with help from the acrobatic ukemi of Ura.
That was awesome.
What’s the official name for that move? I assume they’ve got one for it.
The official winning technique was recorded as Kainahineri – Two-handed arm twist down – though his was clearly one-handed, and there doesn’t seem to be an official technique name to cover what he actually did. I’m seeing Japanese fans simply describe it as Udehineri (arm twist).
Apparently in wrestling it’s a Russian wrist snap.
the guy’s ukranian so maybe that’s where he learned it
Yeah he was a wrestler.
Thank you all for coming.
