He gets up earlier than me, and I’ll hear him zipping around the house. He’ll bat me in the nose, wanting to play. I got to the gym and my 1st vaccine shot this morning before work because of McFluffin

Storms rolled through here earlier, knocked down tree limbs and removed some shingles from neighbors’ roofs. Electricity is out. Kitty rode the storm out somewhere lol finally made an appearance a little wet, but without a scratch and ready to eat

In the office today - turning in my invoices for the week - there was this guy waiting to be interviewed. Rail thin, bad teeth, looking away from what little activity there was in the office.
Was just me, another technician, dude, and Kim, one of the office staff. There’s usually three in the office. I made the joke that the other tech was ‘bogarting Kim,’ because I needed a minute of her time. The guy waiting to be interviewed laughed at that.
Later texted the hiring manager to hire him. Looked like a wounded dog. Heartbreaking how people can be so damaged for whatever combination of reasons.
He was making an effort, though, bless his heart. Resisting whatever alternative there is to forging ahead.
