Too lazy to bypass the paywall but Hayes already did the work.

Again, Chapoâs take on it was funny and pretty spot on imo. They have no clue who is doing it, havenât been able to document or figure out exactly what is happening but it is obv Russia, China, Iran, etc.
Also, some country spent millions+ to get people sick temporarily lol.
I think the idea is that some country is spending millions to do electronic surveillance and people getting sick is a side effect.
If I had to bet I would guess itâs like a carbon monoxide leak or something in the water. But some kind of weird electronic spy shit doesnât seem completely out of the question to me? Maybe Iâm going Lukkb0xy here. The Chapo-splanation is what, after decades of horrible foreign policy around the world, diplomats in this one embassy all are now having a really big sad at the same time? That seems dumb.
I thought it was about a report that came out or whatever about the CIA heads having a meeting and having no idea about what is happening or how but itâs obviously one of the bad actor countries doing it (whatever it is that might not even be happening).
Could be a âgood guyâ country imo, they also spy on each other.
I just listened to that Chapo. Funny but I canât say I learned anything.
One list of symptoms: dizziness, headache, fatigue, nausea, anxiety, cognitive difficulties and memory loss of varying severity. I have 4/7 fairly often, 2 more occasionally. I gotta go get checked out.
Hard to think of something dumber and more naive than taking the CIA at face value

The condemnation of public transportation across the spectrum as something for the poors is what would it make it essentially impossible for me to live in America.
Because it ainât just for them. There are people like myself who are unable to drive for medical reasons and need to work as well. People who give a fuck about the environment would probably want access to it too.
You do realize that there are plenty of non-poor people who live and work in US cities without having vehicles?
Gotta be a pretty small number of cities where itâs easy to do, though
Public transportation is dog shit in America. Unless youâre in New York, itâs essentially useless. Even then the system in New York is woefully inefficient.
Plenty of people live in Boston and D.C. without cars.
I think youâre right, but I also think that by and large their quality of life is much worse than it would be adequate public transit.
Vox had a great video about this issue last year.
I think itâs totally fair to say that US public transit is objectively bad.
Iâve lived in DC without a car for ~9 years. Can confirm our public transportation is workable but kinda sucks, and I gather itâs considered âgoodâ relative to other American public transportation.
Ubiquitous public transportation makes a seemingly unlivable city livable. It boosts the economy, saves a bunch of money for residents while improving the environment. Itâs one of the most beneficial investments any government can make. Yet, it gets fucked over so often in America.
Iâve used public transport in D.C. and Philly. Sparse is a good way to describe it from my experience. Definitely not frequent or reliable enough to get to work on time everyday unless you have a direct line to a stop near where you work from my POV. Once you factor in transfers, it seems like trouble.
And both of those systems are easily over the median for major US metro area.
