Griner protesting the national anthem (which, of course, means you hate the country and are communist) and also winning two Olympic gold medals for the US are two things chuds really donât want in their brains at once, so thankfully the media never mentions the latter

Thinking back to the abortion fight, remember how angry people were that the right wasnât passed into law? How if the Democrats just Do Things they unlock the cheat code to winning? How it was super obvious they should have squeezed it into their 3 month supermajority and that Obama is terrible? How after Dobbs, the next target would be gay marriage?
Now we have almost an exactly analogous issue and no1curr. The only significant difference is a few Republicans voted for it.
Trying to decide if I have the energy to explain and cite the ways this is not true

I hear where youâre coming from, but of course people are going to protest more vociferously about people not doing their jobs than they are going to celebrate them finally getting around to it. People care deeply about the rights of the people impacted, but itâs understandable why they wouldnât want to hold a parade to celebrate the Dems getting around to fixing their own mistake. When you fix your own mistake, you get tepid if deserved credit for it. You donât get celebrated.

As always no one likes the Dems or thinks they are doing a good job outside of whoever it is that the Occupy Democrats garbage works on.
I will preface this by saying this bill is an important step in the right direction. However itâs the normal Dem watered down crap where they write the bill in a way where some Republicans will actually vote for it rather than wielding their power for maximum good.
