Interestingly, there is another American named Marc Fogel who is serving a 14 year sentence in Russia for possessing an ounce of marijuana. Given the similarity of âcrimesâ as Griner, I think it a much more valid question why this person was never part of the narrative at all, if we are trading arms dealers for illegal drug possessors.
I actually suspect Griner specifically was arrested (due to her social capital to the progressive left because of being black, lesbian and a left wing activist), bundled with Whelan, and then released instead of him (allegedly) as part of a Russian psyop to intentionally sow partisan discord in the US.
I doubt most of us would even know who Whelan was, much less be âoutragedâ he wasnât released, if it wasnât for Russia intentionally shaping this narrative.

As a proud QAnon MAGA supporter, I have to say that I am absolutely outraged at the news of Britney Grinerâs prisoner swap with Russia. I mean, what the fuck is going on here?
First of all, who the hell is Britney Griner and why is she so important that she gets to be traded for some Russian prisoner? I mean, Iâve never even heard of her before and Iâm pretty sure sheâs not even American.
Secondly, why the fuck are we doing a prisoner swap with Russia? I thought we were supposed to be enemies with them? And why is it that they get to keep their spy while we have to give up one of our own? This whole thing just smells fishy to me.
