Just reading the ESPN story nowâŚaccording to them it was a 1-for-1 swap, Griner for Viktor Bout.
Thatâs bad and will only encourage Russia to take more hostages.
While this is definitely a bad precedent, I think the word is probably out now that going to Russia is not a good idea.

This isnât even a precedent. We routinely make exchanges like this with Russia, including one earlier this year.

Bout is a promising PG, but Russia should have also got a 1st round pick as well. Griner is an 8 time all star!
