The Presidency of the Joes, part II: lol documents

The take home message seems to be that people should get mad about stuff all the time.

Guess Iā€™m off to mainline some Fox News.

How do you know this isnā€™t what heā€™s doing?

ā€œHe should keep postponing repaymentā€

(Biden postpones repayment)

ā€œWhat a fucking moron!!!ā€

Because they announced this was the final extension when they did it.

I mean, sure, maybe heā€™s just saying ā€œthis is the final extension, I am letting you all know that so you can prepare to start repayingā€ but heā€™ll really extend again,t hat would be great. But that sure as shit doesnā€™t look like what heā€™s doing.

Ah yes Iā€™m sure this is legally binding

You really think he makes it a point to loudly declare this is the last extension, only to then extend it again? I mean, maybe I guess. But why?

all you do is put their address as return amd no stamps, yeah?

i donā€™t particularly believe that usps needs to be the most efficient operation. nothing like ups or amazon obv. i recently was behind in line for a super senior woman struggling to write out the address on a form and pay by check to an slightly younger usps clerk who was the most patient service rep of anyone iā€™ve worked with. thereā€™s no profit to be made on that transaction. pretty sure bezos would throw that business away. but it is also obviously important enough that it just needs to exist for those two ladies.

but on the other hand when you have efficient regular truck routes to sorting facilities and back, it is paradoxically saving them tons of man hours. if they make trucks electric, possibly a bug enough fleet to make good strides on climate.

So the Democratsā€™ message for 2022 is going to be ā€œthe GOP is a threat to Democracy, and also we are great because we worked with the GOP and passed a bipartisan infrastructure bill?ā€

Hmm

The eDems are desperately trying to put the duopoly back together again. They have no other priority than getting the old ways back on the track since the derailment.

(Nancy Pelosi, being led to the guillotine)

ā€œI saved you from the squad! Donā€™t you understand!?!ā€

Also pitch they are marginally better on COVID. Unfortunately 45 percent of America blames the Obama variant, so this pitch isnā€™t very effective.

they need to pivot and form a duopoly with progressives. probably not going to be an easy choice on banning the gop and barring some republicans from office.

Yeah the customer base of the duopoly is not OK with that. They are not going to do anything with the enemy AKA the progressives.

Edit: apparently referring to reconciliation bill

The bipartisan bill just passed. Not all accounted for yet, but will be something like 70/30. McConnell voted yes, pretty sure all Rs with Pres aspirations voted no.

I was dead wrong about this passing. The only things I can figure are:

  • Mitch wants to be able to point to this as the GOP functioning normally when Trump makes donors queasy

  • Mitch was scared about the filibuster getting nuked
