So, I had a gander a the replies and it seems more than a few MAGA idiots think that Trump paid for his own trips to FL and to golf. Any idea where that came from? I assume he paid for like one thing once or something like that.
i don’t believe he paid for one. maybe you’re right though, maybe he paid for the secret service to go someplace once, then saw the bill, then never again. that’d be funny, actually. if he really wanted to be a rich president who paid for his secret service, but then balked at the actual price when the time came

I am not a lawbro but this sinks just on the facts. King Salman was SA’s head of state at the time of the assassination. That’s why they call him King Salman and not Some Rich Dude With a Bunch of Palaces Salman. I’ve forgotten who the Foreign Minister (they’re also immune) was at the time but it was not MBS. Eff MBS, eff Brandon, eff Garland, eff Blinken (according to the stories the determination was made after a request from State) and eff whatever pantywaisted coward at DOJ wrote the determination.
I got the same email yesterday. Pretty slick marketing by the Biden administration, for once. Basically saying “hey we are ready to hand you $20k but the other guys are sueing to stop us. As soon as we defeat them in court you’ll get your money. We’re fighting for you, Republicans are fighting against you.”

GTO seems to be not fixing the underlying problem, instead saying every 4 years vote if u want another round of forgiveness.
Some of this good work is going to be undone if payments actually restart Jan 1. Or at least if he doesnt make someone file suit to force the restart and just does it of his own accord.
Yeah it seems like exactly the same case, the authority to pause stems from the same place. But probably better to do it and lose a lawsuit then to just start payments despite forgiveness being on hold (if Biden actually wants to address this issue)
