The Presidency of the Joes, part II: lol documents

As I just posted in the crazy religion thread- the whole system is just a scam.

Price of a degree should be about the price of 1 year starting salary.

Starting salary is 60k? 15k/yr for 4 years.

It’s also a throwback to the late YouTalkFunny, who was on SS+GODCAD, a gallon of diet coke a day.

Sir, please have a seat.

I’m not even gonna look, but wasn’t the exact quote something like “I SECURED THE FUNDING that led to the creation of the internet”? And then people (ok, not people, right-wing reactionary talk radio assholes) changed it to “Meow he said he invented the internet meow” and that shit caught on because people weren’t generally aware that we were doing full-blown Nazi radio at that point?

The only type of tea that I ever really got into and enjoyed was ceremonial grade matcha. If you’re looking for a way to cut back, I can promise you that at about $40/oz for the good shit, you won’t be drinking gallons of it a day.

I mostly drink tea when it’s cold and then it’s usually some cinnamon spice stuff because plain black or green is too bland. I’m sure that’s unsophisticated or whatever but idc.

Sounds like homemade chai tea tea

Got myself a gongfu tea kit a year or two ago, very easy and it makes great tea.

People drink that with milk usually, right? I don’t do that. It’s this

I’m old enough I think I’m losing my senses of smell and taste so I need something with a little extra kick.

Honestly, Hunter Biden seems like a guy I’d want to chill with. He seems like the least bad failson out there.

I think this is accurate. In some theoretical alternative reality I could understand the idea of having the government subsidize for profit companies to produce things of broad social value. But in our current reality it makes no sense to do that without having dealt with foundational stuff as a higher priority (human rights, health care, environment, preserving the last tattered remains of democracy etc. are obvious higher priorities for government action) AND on top of that the private sector is so awash in private capital that people like Elizabeth Holmes and WeWork Guy are getting billions of dollars of investments to produce nothing of positive value.

I can actually understand how the heads of various departments in the Federal government can get caught in this trap of enacting their own blindered agenda without regard for the bigger picture. The US Federal Government is literally the largest enterprise in human history and centralized operational prioritization is probably literally impossible. It makes sense to move forward priority #128 when and if you can and not send it up the food chain for formal approval from head office, if the government couldn’t do anything until climate change was solved, for example, that would be Republican wet dream of government inaction. So as frustrating as it is to see some weak sauce corporatist policy getting passed when there is no action on the absolute top priorities, the real problem here IMO is the failure to move on the top priorities. And it goes without saying that Joe Biden is a terrible leader in a time that calls for bold action on key fronts. 79 year old Nothing Will Fundamentally Change Guy isn’t up to the task.

Did you watch any of the videos? He might be a ton of fun under the right circumstances, but I don’t know about “chill”.

These people should have voted harder for Biden. That’ll teach 'em.
