Hey it’s not all bad! A couple days ago, 6 months into his term, Biden released one person from Guantanamo! His first. Someone who was cleared for release 5 years ago during the Obama administration.

While I am forced to believe this is true it’s so massively stupid it’s hard to believe it’s true. It’s harder and harder to not see dems as completely in on it.

It’s because they’re all selfish assholes. There are probably like 10 democrats who don’t want to get rid of the filibuster because they lol think it would hurt their chances in re election or are old.

Majority report had on Bernie’s policy legislative executive or whatever and he talked a ton about the Senate. Was pretty interesting. Schumer and crew get it, it’s the moderates and manchin/cinema.

“We don’t, not even for a second, think about race,” said Darcie Pickren, 67, a vocal leader of the anti-CRT movement

“ ‘Diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging,’ all of those words sound great,” said Nicole Hooper, a 42-year-old mother of three. “But when you drill back and actually look at the meaning of the words . . . they are interlaced with critical race theory"

lolooololollll sounds like they’re getting close!

100% Manchin and Cinema forcing them to take this to the cutoff date.

Reconciliation still gets done, but the delay means dems won’t have time to do anything for this year.

Doesn’t really matter though because Manchin and Cinema won’t allow use to do anything else anyways.

Does mean we might have to pass the debt stuff through recon conciliation which burns one of those for us.

That’s bipartisanship and when congress is functioning as they intend. Military spending is the primary duty of every member of congress. Biden is just getting the most out of congress. They are giving their all as one.

This is bipartisanship.

Not sure why infrastructure is still under discussion. Seems pretty clear the reconciliation bullet is going to be needed for another COVID relief bill sooner rather than later unless we want full scale societal and healthcare collapse in pockets of the country. Even if it isn’t reconciliation, COVID is going to suck up all of the calendar time by the time they get back from recess and have 400k cases a day.

Some of that is a current bipartisan infrastructure bill payment source and probably
doesnt cover what now appears to be coming down the pike over the next 6-9 months.

Guess they can run a bunch of 2022 ads showing pictures of maskless Americans during the glorious 2.5 months of normalcy and hope that wins the day.

The best part is reporters still sincerely covering this as if it’s an actual negotiation

Who could have predicted this (note the date)

Dems are in on it. Stupidity doesn’t explain this

Its a mix of: stupidity and being complicit and being too close to see the big picture. I think we underestimate how tight the bubble is in which eDems live and how much number 3 drives there idiocy. They’re like people standing on the surface of the earth insisting that the earth isn’t round because it seems flat to them.

They’re all old as fuck, and rich. They want the senate to be a social club and as long as the Republicans act like adults to them personally they’re going to believe that’s what it is.

They simply don’t give a fuck.

Getting closer! Wow, really hope they can make a deal.

I think this is consistent with them being too close to see the big picture. 1/3 of the country wants them rounded up and executed, preferably in prime time for maximum advertising revenue.

The important thing is that they tried. They can even take their participation trophies to the Trump Brand Concentration Camps.

Clausewitz said that war is merely an extension of politics by other means. Establishment Dems see raising the temperature in politics as akin to war. They act like pacifists who want peace in our time.

That’s how you should model their behavior. How do you get a pacifist to reluctantly accept war? That’s what you have to do to get these Dems to switch gears.
