lol, well thats it for me. I had ust checked in because they were supposed to vote tomorrow and it sounded like we had gotten to agreement and Manchin was speaking. Now seems pretty likely this is all dead unless progressives blink. They said an hour ago they would pass infrastructure, but Im guessing thats dead now. Will check back in post midterms I guess.
EDIT: Ds do have to start figuring out how to pass the debt ceiling now though. If it isnt going to be part of BBB, then they are running very short on time.
It is just bad faith nonsense and patently obvious that his strategy is to pass BIF then kill everything else until midterms. Nothing progressives agree too is likely to be good enough, and when they finally walk away (he’s going to demand another round of cuts, basically he’s saying $1.75 is the number without standard gimmick provisions and pay fors dont matter) he is going to blame them for not negotiating in good faith. It is laughable.
