Can we clone Sherrod Brown?
It’s hugely +ev for the Dems to eliminate the filibuster for any reason. There’s basically nothing that the Republicans want to pass electorally that requires 60 votes. Why would they want to cut Medicare/Social Security? Are you under the impression that they care about deficits?
To echo this sentiment, I recall there being evidence that the ‘marginal turnout voter’ in 2020 was no longer wildly +D and may have even been +R in some states (Florida?). This trend may continue as the Dem base becomes more educated, higher income, and more enthusiastic.
Get ready for Senator Gym Jordan, y’all.
I just let out an audible, “oh god.”

Biden rolled back Trump’s EO banning transgender people from the military.
Uhhhhhh
Yea it seems likely it will be him or some other mega deplorable. Maybe that gives D’s a shot at the seat. Time for Lebron James to run.
Just a reminder that Progressive Punch scores Sinema to the right of Manchin.
Nothing’s going to happen in the next 2 years and Dems are gonna lose 40+ House seats and probably all of the Senate toss-ups. Sweet.
This is by far the most likely outcome. I hope I somehow develop the discipline to check out emotionally because caring is just so depressing. The bad guys have been winning my whole life and there is no end in sight.

Um…yes? It’s literally unifying people into one military.
Well then WAAF
But something like 50% of Republicans don’t support it, so what is Biden supposed to do? Something very popular? No.
We are in this bizarre feedback loop where people like Chris Hayes and this forum have correctly zeroed in on the only issue that matters, the filibuster, while almost all media continues presenting completely misleading and irrelevant “will they work together” pieces that are more relevant as toilet paper than information to the reader.

It’s okay they “sort of got” the senate 4 years before anyone thought possible.
At least we can get the total disappointment out of the way.
