The Presidency of the Joes: more like INFRASTRUCTURE WEAK

How would we know? Dems have literally never had good messaging. I guess Obama did and he crushed.

Lol basically everyone except for Bernie and AOC. What the fuck is this country.

??? delicate balancing act? Is that whatā€™s happening in the ME thanks to the US?

Republican voters are not going to vote against republicans for not voting in favor of a clean minimum wage bill. They just are not doing it.

Will it increase Democratic turnout? Will it win votes from people who are neither Democrats nor Republicans?

Of course not, goal is always to increase turnout/win independents. Republican voters will never not vote Republican no matter what

Not really counting on the people who didnā€™t bother to vote for or against the literal end of the world in 2020 but are going to get ginned up to oppose those who did not support a minimum wage bill in 2022/2024.

I think it would have almost no impact on a Republican candidateā€™s prospects because none of the people who would vote for them would not vote for them because of that issue. This goes for independent voters as well.

It is a complete free roll for republicans. The partisan divide is such that a no vote on the minimum wage is not an adequate bridge to cross it.

Have we considered the possibility that Joe Manchin sincerely has zero interest in black people voting?

This isnā€™t the dunk you think it is. But by all means explain to me about the misuse of government money in the United States, I had no idea this was going on. I guess the solution is to keep bombing places.

Cause the Supreme Court has an upcoming case thatā€™s going to further gut the VRA and thereā€™s going to be a very clear choice between having a democracy and having a filibuster.

I think Manchin believes that only bipartisanship can save American democracy.

Well, heā€™s a fucking idiot if he thinks that.

But if you understand and accept that is how he thinks, then maybe people can stop talking about ways to get him to flip on the filibuster.

The only way the filibuster gets killed before the 2022 midterms is if a Republican Senator dies and gets replaced by a Democrat. And even then it might not happen. Yā€™all are wasting time and energy whining about Manchin.

Iā€™m just saying heā€™s a moron if he thinks that. He has leverage and isnā€™t willing to use it to negotiate?
