The Presidency of the Joes: more like INFRASTRUCTURE WEAK

I would hope so.

Hello hi why was this asswipe not fired on January 20th???

He can’t legally fire him that’s why. All he can do is try to stack the board and have them remove him.

It seems like the DOJ should be able to charge him with doing the crimes if an AG is ever appointed.

He should do that asap then. Fuck this guy

Or just fire him and by the time the courts find he should be reinstalled it’ll be 6 months from now and then you just tell them to fuck off we already have a postmaster general

Biden can fire the board members. A third are Dems already. I think that’s two out of six. He just has to fire three of them.

Can’t believe the postmaster used to be a cabinet position and in succession for the presidency.

Sometimes y’all got to be a bit more patient right? Seems right?

Pre internet a lot of society’s infrastructure depended on the post office, really.

This is so disgusting.

You should post the full quote:

““One of my prayers is that the Republicans will take back their party,” Pelosi said. “The country needs a strong Republican Party. It’s done so much for our country, and to have it be hijacked as a cult at this time is really a sad thing for America.””

Is that really controversial here? Seems like it’d be a really good thing for the country would be to raise the floor of possible bad leadership.

What kompromat do the Republicans have on Democrats?

Is there like a Biden pee tape or something?

The full quote is even worse. Jesus.

Unless “so much” = so many terrible things, then yes, it’s a bad statement. What are these good things that the Republican party has done for our country? The Republican party has pretty much always been hijacked by a cult, it’s just that the cult has gotten a bit crazier and more willing to be open about their intentions.

I guess she could be talking about the 19th century Republican party doing good things, but that would still be a terrible statement.

That’s not what she said, though.

Let’s compare Nancy’s statements about AOC and company to her positively delusional nostalgia for the Republican Party.

A more cynical person might conclude what she really wants is maintenance of the very comfortable status quo for people…like Nancy Pelosi.

The most generous way to take Pelosi’s comment is that a weak Republican Party is more likely to be co-opted by right-wing extremists that’ll install a dictatorship with Trump as its leader in the near future. At that point, he arrests/tortures/murders all of his opposing politicians and makes it a one-party state.

Given it’s a snake like Pelosi who has no issues making back room deals with the GOP to fuck over the left, I can see her statements meaning that she wants a strong GOP to make sure that nothing really changes and especially that nothing moves to the left in America.

EDIT: Should’ve quoted the post now that it’s been removed

Let’s fade a god damn dictatorship in 2024 before we wax nostalgic about the good old days when Republicans initiated disastrous wars, tortured people with impunity, were nakedly racist, opposed all gay rights and tried to privatize social security.

As much as I love pointing and laughing at the GOP, I think it is wildly destructive for the country to have them implode. Dominant political parties are bad news, period
