The Presidency of the Joes: more like INFRASTRUCTURE WEAK

That guy needs to be fired, immediately.

We’ll see.

Even GOATbama had some truly loltastic Ambassador appointees.

I think we send qualified people to the countries that have legit diplomatic issues going on(or at least we used to pre-Trump). Something like Norway is just bought and sold.

I’m pretty sure that sending failsons off to be ambassadors is something of a historical tradition in the west. Esp if it’s some Mickey Mouse posting like Ambassador to Bermuda or something like that.

Suspended for a week is not acceptable. Come on, Joe.

Yea that is weak as fuck. He 100% needs to be fired. WTF Joe

During the off-the-record call, Ducklo made derogatory and misogynistic comments, accusing Palmeri of only reporting on his relationship—which, due to the ethics questions that factor into the relationship between a journalist and White House official, falls under the purview of her reporting beat—because she was “jealous” that an unidentified man in the past had “wanted to fuck” McCammond “and not you.” Ducklo also accused Palmeri of being “jealous” of his relationship with McCammond. (Palmeri had no prior relationship or communication with McCammond before calling her to report on the Playbook item, which was a story that she was assigned and had not independently pursued.)

this is 100% what Josh Lyman would say.

In modern times, roughly one-third of ambassadorial nominations are political appointees—that is, political allies of and donors to the president—with two-thirds coming from the ranks of career diplomats with the State Department. Donor ambassadors are typically relegated to posts where longstanding national ties with the United States—and an extensive support staff of career foreign service officials doing the real work—make it difficult to muck things up too badly.

Under President Donald Trump, however, the percentage of non-career diplomats serving as ambassadors rose to nearly half, and relations with even some of the nation’s oldest allies began to fray.

Apparently the asshole harasser press guy has late stage cancer. I’m conflicted whether this matters.

It shouldn’t.

People who uses illnesses to justify being assholes were assholes before getting whatever they have.

We send rich failson assholes to countries where it doesn’t matter (first-world allies), and real career service diplomats to the countries where we need it (middle east, etc). It’s still a terrible system.

I mean, the Trump admin response to this would have been a giant “Fuck you” to the reporter followed by death threats to the reporter from trump reporters, so it’s a step up I guess…

I want Joe Biden to tell a journalist to suck his dick.

I don’t know why but I think a 78 year old saying that to a journalist who asks a stupid question would be funny. Probably because it’s the last thing you expect an elderly man to say to basically anybody.

Alough I’m not a fan of his press team & spokespersons because their anger seems to be directed towards progressives more often when the capital literally got attacked by right-wing supporters I suppose its only been under 2 months & a slight improvement as you say.

Then again, losing their job in the media world full of centrists and republican light powerhouses during the Democratic term seems bad.

And its a Pandemic.

I don’t know about justify, but I can definitely see knowing you’re very likely going to die soon turning you into something less than your best self.

The sourcing on this one is interesting. Presumably it isn’t Duklo, and I’m guessing he didn’t call someone up to scream obscenities at them in public. Is there some kind of escape hatch to off-the-record agreements for bullying?

EDIT: Maybe it was McCammond!
