House Dems should pass a lot of stuff that liberals want with the purpose of them being sacrificed to Manchin, Sinema, King, and Kelly so that half the stuff gets through and the centrist bloc can say they prevented leftist excess.
Can you imagine the massive cleanup going on behind the scenes at every major federal institution right now after 4 years of Trump fuckery? How many competent functionaries were just hanging on for dear life, and would have quit one day after the election went to Trump? How much of the deep state resistance was ready to hold out another 4 years?

Pretty sure the 2k thing was dead the minute Biden proposed 1.4k. You werenāt going to talk Manchin/Centrists up from that. Thats entirely Bidens fault because I think he could have gotten them to agree on 2k checks as he has the establishment/centrist cred to push Manchin/centrists that other dems donāt have.
Basically I think Manchin/Centrists feel like they need a win somewhere that they pushed back against the further left wing of the party, and thats what the threshold was about, and it only fell through because the push back was big, and progressives probably threatened to boycott from the sound of it.
What they should have done is offered like 2,500 checks and dropped it to 2k because Manchin/centrists. They get their win, we get 2k checks. But loldems.
