Any possible way we can cut out the endless WAAF stuff? :expressionless:

Not in this timeline sadly. I don’t actually think WAAF, but I think we could be, and are definitely close to the edge.

I’m honestly looking forward to the looming disaster happening already. I want to get through it so I can be on the other side of it honestly.

Ironically one of the top stories on CNN is about the polling showing no change as a result of the hearings.

I spend substantially all my time around upper middle class white people in the Midwest.

Trump has lost none of them. It’s not that they support him personally (in contrast to the mouth breathing idiots you see at his rallies and in mega churches), it’s that substantially all of them have a completely counter-factual victim complex. They say it’s taxes, but that isn’t really true. It is this bizarre collective victimhood that really keeps them on board. And it’s impossible to penetrate.

CNN is disgusting and sickening to watch, the right wingers pretend that there really really good people who are centrist, and btw do I hate centrists.

Letting CNN into your brain for more than 2 sec is poisonous.

Coming from the UK watching CNN is like watching car crash tv.

Again any right winger anywhere in the world atm. There all the same really, just different accents and language.

This is just not true. Republicans are among the worst. There are plenty of reasonable right wingers people outside the US.

Affluent white people* get really, really defensive when pushed on how much of their affluence was not earned, but derives from their privilege. There is still a substantial “privilege isn’t real” movement exactly because it goes to an emotional and psychological need that these people have. It’s just human nature that facts vs. emotion isn’t a fair fight for facts. Trump plays in the emotions and instincts space.

*Not me, of course. I am affluent and white but I earned everything with my gumption and grit and get up and go. I mean those other affluent whites over there.

False… Are Americans more violent in general, yes and that’s why they are the worst, but as for giving up support of their party, their all the same in that they never do, or like here in Britain just move to the other right wing party the Libs.

At this moment most if not all right wing governments are all taking the same stance wrt the laws of our lands, speak to the hand is there moto atm.

That’s from my aunt’s Facebook a little over 2 years ago, I still think about it and chuckle when other family members post things demonstrating exactly what white privilege is knowing that she’ll flip out on a TV show’s page but not someone she actually knows.

The font gave it away.
