The Presidency of Donald J. Trump v5.0: ORANGE Gettin' PEACHed, Nation Goes PEANUT BUTTER & BANANAS

We definitely need to bring back stocks in town squares in 2021. These fools need to be on display.

Are they really this dumb? They can’t be this dumb, right? How are these idiots running the country?

He won’t release records of any kind (financial, medical or even transcripts) but he’s transparent? Faceplam to infinity.

Two years ago, Reuters reported that least 63 Russians had spent $98.4 million buying condos in the six Trump-branded luxury towers in Sunny Isles and a seventh in Hollywood. Plus, another 703 units in the seven Trump buildings had been purchased by so-called limited liability companies, LLCs, that mask the owners’ identities.

In 2016, a Miami Herald investigation found that dozens of Sunny Isles condos, many in Trump-branded properties, had been purchased by Russians suspected of illicit doings. International fraud investigators suggest that Sunny Isles real estate provides corrupt Russian officials an anonymous place to invest their loot, safe from the scrutiny of cops and tax collectors back home. No wonder they call Sunny Isles Moscow-by-the-Sea.

I feel attacked

The hypocrisy and lack of self-awareness might be what stuns me the most with people like Starr. It’s one thing for me to think he’s flat out wrong, but for him to say Clinton deserved impeachment but Trump does not is mind blowing.

Sounds like a nice place to have a friendly chat :anguished:

Appears we are moving into the climax of this season, if not the entire series. I’ll allow the writers to be a little too on the nose.

Are we perhaps being unfair though to assume that they spoke out because they’re retiring rather than they’re retiring as the cost of speaking out?

A brave new world where you can get away with whatever you want as long as you do it out in the open.

It’s money.

Starr has hopped from cushy job to cushy job for the last 20+ years being the shameless go to apologist for GOP scumbaggery.

This is naive. These guys could take some act that you find inexplicable two minutes before their death and you will say, “it’s about money”! It’s not about the fucking money. It’s rarely ever money.

It’s belief, it’s a world view, it’s religion, it’s meaning in a scary world, it’s “mattering”, it’s being a member of the club. Bill Barr and Ken Starr don’t give a shit if they ever make another nickel in their lives. They would give millions of dollars for their causes to prevail (and for them to stay relevant, not just forgotten old rich dudes). They care more about the fight than Bernie Bros or pragmatists. That is why they win, not because of money, because they believe the are on team good fighting team evil.

As the rich guy says in Quiz Show, “Anyone who thinks it’s about money never had any.”

Nah, it’s about money. If it wasn’t, these guys would be willing to go to prison for what they believe in.

LOL @ thinking that Floridians will vote obviously corrupt republicans out of office. Pam Bondi is a pretty good case study in this.

Donny, I figured out the architects of the coup

Anyone born into a fundamentalist religion, as I was, probably sees a lot of sense in this. The money is a great perk, but most of them are True Believers. It’s a good explanation of why we never see death-bed confessions.

The second “doing” in that tweet might be the most tilting thing trump has ever tweeted.
